    Epic, thanks!
Saw the 3 pack on at coles for $2.50 and thought of holding out for just a bit more.

    • I bought 10.

Time to return and earn I guess ;)

Or you could buy milk, protein powder and pay a fraction of the cost.

      Don't forget the sugar!

and vegetable oils! Look at the ingredients, 4.5 stars health rating is a fking joke.

The whole health start system is a bit of a joke.
Not only is it an over simplification based on the amount of energy, saturated fat, sugars and sodium compared to protein and fibre in a food (with bonus points added for fruit, vegetable, nut and legume content),
it also limits scope into categories of food, but doesn't display what that category is on the food anywhere.

    • Honest question: is it really the same using milk and protein powder? I like up and go but, IMO, it's usually kind of expensive. I'd like to find a similar equivalent for cheaper, if possible.

    Oh no Honeycomb flavour :(

    • They only do that in the 3 packs.

  • hows the sugar on this stuff

    • +1

It's decent, approx 25g carbs (16-20g sugars) in the protein ones and a bit higher in the normal ones.

      • +2

With larger ones, 500ml you've just about hit your daily intake of sugar.

  • Is sale just on Energize variant?

    • +1

      normal breakfast liquid ones too

  • nice. Thanks!!

  • I bought a load last time it was on sale and it took me a long time to get through.
They are Low GI don't create a full stomach feeling and I experienced a massive "bloodsugar crash" soon after every smoko.

I'm not a healthy eater in general, but I dont recommend these for anyone.
ONLY reasonable usage cenario imo would be when doing iron-man training - you need fast energy and you will spend it immediately.
