Get a $150 promotional code to spend on a separate future purchase on the Google Store with a pre-order or purchase of Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL. After a qualifying pre-order or purchase of a Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL, a promotional code will be emailed to the email associated with the qualifying pre-order or purchase approximately 8 weeks from the Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL shipment date. Promotion ends 24 October 2019 at 11:59pm AEDT. Promotional code offer is provided by Google Australia Pty Ltd for use on Google Store Australia only, and subject to the following terms. Available only to Australia residents with shipping addresses in Australia. Must be age 18 or older and an Australia resident to be eligible.     I can't say whether the phone will be good or not, but spec wise Pixel 4 is a letdown for the price.
    - Battery life might be bad with that 90hz screen and mediocre battery
    - The 2nd camera is a 2x tele lens instead of more useful ultra wide lens
    - That bezel is so 2017

    I really like the new color though, probably the best thing about Pixel 4 in my opinion.

        That's why I add "might be", because my assumption is based on their spec sheet. But in reality nobody knows yet.

      Battery life is definitely a concern on the regular Pixel 4 for me, and the only thing stopping me from preordering. A 2800mAh battery combined with a 90 Hz display and the additional sensor/s. We know the efficiency of the Snapdragon 855. Battery life is not going to be great, but hopefully it proves to be good. But Google nailed it with the pricing, it’s cheaper here than in the US!

      You can actually turn off the 90hz and it will use the normal 60hz refresh rate.

    Wow, this years pixel 4 is a let down. No unlimited full original photo quality upload on Google photos and abysmal storage options, 128gb max and not expandable ?! I think I’ll stick with my pixel 3.

          But it is like saying you are worried they won’t sell. Peak buying for any product would be at release when you make most money. Discounts after the peak buying period has worn off I can understand, but before it is even released doesn’t imply confidence in your product.
          Just because everyone else is doing it does not make it a good idea
          Apple doesn’t tend to offer discounts period. Pikers.

            Maybe it's gouging the impulsive people who purchase after getting phone envy?

      If you buy a second one, you can take it off that, I suppose.

      Then it can be a 'Buy 7, Get 1 free' offer on the Pixel 4 64GB and 'Buy 8, Get 1 free' on the Pixel 4 128GB.

      It's 6AM so I can't be bothered doing the math for the Pixel 4 XL.

          It's applied automatically if you are signed into your account.

          I note that it appears to stack with the preorder bonus, and upgrading to a month by month plan worked immediately (I suppose you could downgrade your plan after you get the credit)

    I am in NZ and will be pre-ordering from AU google store as it is not available in NZ, if I get the $150 voucher, Would I be able to use it in NZ also does anyone know if warranty will work in NZ too??

        I Have Family living in Australia so will be getting it shipped to them, they'll bring it to me on their next visit to NZ…

        hence why I ask if the warranty will apply in NZ

    I've owned all 3 Pixel XL's but I think I'll give this one a miss.
    Don't know what else to get though as my fallback the Mate 30 Pro has been Trump'd!

    My Pixel 2xl running just fine. Nothing in pixel 4 that worth upgrading. For wide and telephoto I am using moment lenses and loving it.

      Better processor, more ram, better screen, better camera, two years newer, so two years more software updates than Pixel 2. Nope, no reason at all to upgrade.

          Improved battery life, faster downloads, faster uploads, better multitasking. Advantages of a better display should be fairly obvious. I’m not saying you should upgrade, but to say that “nothing in pixel 4 that worth upgrading” just isn’t true.
