It seems like it would be easier to get the additional sales, and possibly evade taxes, and then not take the loss of actually giving anything.
I wonder how these things are policed. If it's like consumer law enforcement it will be a joke.

They donate 20c to charity which is how much a meal costs for foodbank to supply a meal apparently

Depends what you get, cheapest Sanga where I live is $5 for a pizza sub, tuna, Veggie delite and roast beef

A close acquaintance has told me that World sandwich day 2019 has been cancelled! So this deal is no more active!

Subway has emailed us earlier today requesting this offer to be removed. There will no longer be a Buy One Get One Free offer on Friday 1 November. The campaign was cancelled after the leaflets were printed. The World Sandwich Day however is still happening, where Subway will donate a meal to charity for every meal purchased.
Subway are getting worse by the day.. FML
