Chauffeured Hire Cars - from Hornsby (and Surrounds) to Sydney $75, to Airport $115 [NSW]

260

Hi Everyone,

Recently i started up a Chauffeured Hire Car business and my primary aim is to introduce down to earth fares for everyone in the community. Currently we own a 2009 Audi A6 and this is the vehicle being utilised in our business. We have over 10 years of experience within the taxi industry.

Our drivers have an extensive history on the roads and have more than seven years of experience driving a chauffeured car. They have good track records on the roads and great customer service.

We will offer an on-time service, safe drivers and a welcoming environment.

The cars have met RTA and NSW Transport standards and have a complete insurance cover on the vehicles.

The fare schedule is as follows:

From Hornsby(And Surrounds) to Sydney CBD $75
From Hornsby(And Surrounds) to Airport $115

This gives you a rough idea as to what you will expect and we do other areas as well.

All aforementioned fees are inclusive of GST, waiting fees etc. This is the only fare you will be paying.

For Bookings and any other questions contact us via the ozbargain form or leave a message below.

Competitors who use similar vehicles charge up to $170 and my prices are similar to taxi prices however you get prearranged bookings and a higher status vehicle.

eg. A Taxi to the airport costs around $100-120 depending on traffic, we charge a set $115 and can also utilise bus lanes as well ensuring that you get to your destination on time.

ON CALL SERVICE ALSO AVAILABLE - SAME RATES (1 HR NOTICE REQUIRED) PM ME AND I WILL REPLY WITH MOBILE NUMBER

Thanks

can someone explain to me how prices can be down to earth?

    • +1

not charging too much? hitting the baseline

  • +1

You may want to post competitors prices for those who don't know how much hire cars cost from Hornsby to the airport/CBD.

    • Also you might want to give some estimates on taxi fares? (since I would envisage them as competition) The difference might be enough to entice people to a nicer driver/car?

      • thanks for the recommendations guys!!! much appreciated :)

  • I think the price is quite comparable to a taxi ride. But no business details at all ??? …

    • Not sure how accurate this (seems slightly cheap) is but
      http://www.taxifare.com.au/

      Estimates:
Hornsby to Airport ($83.28 Distance: 41.27 KM Travel Time: 51 mins)
Hornsby to CBD ($52.96 Distance: 25.64 KM Travel Time: 37 mins)

As someone who catches taxis aroughly 200 times a year from the city to the northshore and to the airport, I would add about 10 - 20 dollars to that estimate depending on traffic.

        • remember the toll as well, in average if you live in hornsby area, you might pay another $20 extra for the toll, M2, lane cove tunnel, harbour bridge toll.

        • +2

the toll as i said is covered. the prices are final and is all that will be charged

  • +4

Sounds like an orsm deal. Good luck with your new bizo.

  • hmm, seeing as we're comparing it to a taxi ride, are there any advantages to riding in an Audi A6 apart from the higher prestige compared to your typical taxi aka Ford Falcon? e.g is there champagne on ice waiting for you?

    • +2

for this price i cant see us adding anything extra, however if you are willing to add $40 i can introduce a bottle of Moet just for you.

      • +21

Moet? This is OzBargain, you need a Dominos pizza and an energy drink.

  • +1

From hornsby to airport I'm guessing they would be going M2, lane cove tunnel, Harbour tunnel and eastern distributor, so you would be looking at around $20 extra for tolls you need to add to those taxi estimates.
Op, can you confirm price includes all tolls and airport charges?

    • +4

Yep i can confirm that the price includes all tolls and airport charges. The prices above will get you to that destination.

I take a taxi from Waitara to the Airport(only when work pays :)), depending on traffic, its usually over $100. hmmm.. I'll have an A6 over a smelly falcon any day!

  • I catch a taxi from Thornleigh to the airport - Silver Service pickup outside the arrivals terminal

Normally around $110 - maybe $100 if really early or late - $130 if you get stuck in traffic…

  • Maybe putting some contact details up here would be a good idea?

Also, would you do airport to avalon and vice versa runs?

  • I use a prestige HC service and your price is pretty much bang on his

    Castle Hill - Airport $100 + $30 which ofcourse isn't required

We've had a long standing relationship with him so that may be the reason he is cheap

In terms of cars though he uses a 2010 Chrysler 300C

  • 115$ to the airport >.< i usually pay 80$ max. http://www.hoangdo.com.au/login.php

    • +3

lol i know this guy, are you one of his sons?
      DON'T LIE NOW =P

  • +3

    A6's suck…

Because once you get out you'll wish you owned one

I wanted to do a service like this in queensland but our transport department said no…

  • +2

This is pretty much the market rate for trips in HC's to upper north shore. But..

If you are a frequent traveller you can normally negotiate a deal with your driver.

For example, I was travelling weekly to the airport from (near) Hornsby for $100 in a BMW 7 series. He'd always come with a hot coffee on those early mornings too :)

    • +4

I'd match that if someone was travelling to the airport weekly!

      • a free coffee
      • a smile :)
      • +3
        • monthly bonus moet?
  • I'm in the St Leonards area, PM'd the OP for price of Airport pickup, and got the price of $70.

To OP, I know you've mentioned the price is final and inclusive of tolls - I'm assuming this includes going through Northbound ED?

    • That's correct, however i believe that coming back from the airport is free?

      • No I'm talking about Northbound ED which you enter from South Downling St near Zetland, which then connect to Harbour Bridge/Tunnel, bypassing the city.

        ED costs $5.50.

A toll is charged for use of the Eastern Distributor in the northbound direction only.

From 1 January 2011, the toll (including GST) will be $5.50 for cars* or $11.00 for any other vehicle.

      • yepp the price will include tolls as well!

  • are you covering hornsby area only or you do other part of sydney as well? if you do, can you posted in here as well, so some people can have rough idea, example from silvania to the airport cost how much?, homebush to the airport how much?

  • Hey OP:

How much for North Ryde to Airport?

    Thanks.

    • replied to your email…. $90

  • NEW WEBSITE IS UP AND RUNNING

  • So it's one of those HC plates? I've never seen HC with 4 digits, so there're less than 1000 hire cars (excluding taxis) in NSW?

  • I suspect not many ozbargainers would use hi
red car to airport for personal trip.can't say its bargain or not

  • Hi OP.

How much for East-Lindfield to the airport?

    • Hi Bob,

East Lindfield to Airport will be $90

  • Do you provid taxi receipts? and surcharge for CC?

    • it is standard all hc and taxi - 10% surcharge for electronic transaction, cabcharge and cc.

  • If it applies to your current job/endeavours, chauffeured hired cars do make a good impression on prospective clients; where a personal pickup cannot be arranged by yourself/company.

On a sidenote, the service could also be used for special holidays/honeymoons/anniversary trips with your loved one.

    :) :)

    • $75 hornsby to city should be same price as taxi, every night i took taxi from city to epping area, it cost me around 50-60

  • just wondering airport to CBD (and back in a few days), how much would it be each way ?
looks like a better alternative to a taxi.

    • Airport to CBD is $50 and vice versa

Please arrange bookings by sending an email to [email protected]

  • What about the Upper, Upper North Shore (aka Central Coast)?? Do you service there to the airport?
