blimey just as im about to order a couple of JR passes. good timing

    • I was literally going to buy one today too!

      • Did you get them posted, it's a bit confusing, do you put the date as of today's date on the first page when you order or the date you are arriving in Japan?

        • I'm off there 4 Jan; so i put sometime early next month as my date so the Exchange Order arrives delivered by that time. Looks like you then have to at least get to the ticket office to use the Exchange Order within 90 days of that date. Once you exchange you have to nominate within 30 days of that.

order a couple of JR passes.

Sorry to tell you this, but Larry Hagman died a while back…

  • Literally just bought the airport passes yesterday. Please note the 2for1 airport offer is quite tricky to use. Only can be used for 2 people and not like 4 people. One coupon per account, thus need to create another account if you have more than 2 people. Plus no children ticket.
Don't think that the offer is valid for Aussie travel docs though.

    • I can't get that coupon working for this: https://www.klook.com/en-AU/activity/1410-skyliner-tokyo/?kr…

I bought that product Xyron - Try adding in an Australian mobile to your account before check out (Y)

        • Thanks, I'll keep trying!

I was a huge skeptic of services like Klook until I started using them on a recent trip to Vietnam and Singapore - prices on Klook were routinely less than paying providers directly, especially after coupon codes etc. Also saves a lot of hassle.

          • @xyron: No problems, I had the same issue - mobile country code was wrong on my account

  • Anyone can get cheaper JR Pass other than from Klook with this 12% cashback ?

    • There was a deal couple of months back that I couldn't use as it didn't cover my travel dates.

10% off Japan activities + 15% Cashback from Shopback stacked - Hoping that deal comes back again

      • I think their price is a bit more expensive than local travel stores but it works out well if 12% cash back. The thing is you have to wait for delivery as no local pick up offered for Sydney or Melbourne.

        • Do you have to exchange the ticket on the day in Japan or do the physical tickets get posted?

There is alao coupon Klookpaypal for 5%off, but not valid for Jr Pass. Tried that but only gives $20 disc tops.

    • I got the JR rail pass last night and used the klook PayPal code for the 5% off - it worked. The code doesn't actually appear in the cash rewards promos though so I wonder if using it will affect the 12% cash back deal?

      • Did you buy only 1?

        • I brought 2. 1 adult and 1 child

      • There is always the risk as it’s not a verified cashrewards promo code

  • How long does it take for them to send out Jr pass? Are they sending out from their hk office? This means it will take one or two weeks before we can get it in Australia.

    • Reviews from previous deals say passes are received within 1 week, but I would leave 2-3 weeks just to be safe

      • +1

Recieved it within 1 week. They sent it express with DHL

  • Good timing. Was gonna buy universal studios hollywood passes.

  • Anyone knows where can I buy Japan Sim card with voice feature as well?

    • Just use WhatsApp or Skype

      • Well, if I need to call the Hotel, I would need voice call feature

  • ahhh Doh !!! I just purchased JR passes on Friday….

  • If payment to Klook by paypal using a St George Amplify Visa card would there still be overseas transaction fees as someone mentioned Klook is from HK ? If so, will pay by 28Degree.

    • Prices on the website are displayed in AUD. I havent had any overseas payments charged from Klook

      • Thanks for the reply. I read Klook website and it seems booking in Australia is handled by their HK company so likely my credit card will charge me the 3% overseas transaction fee. I get burnt once by paying booking.com when the price displayed was in AUD and I thought all was good until I received my CCard statement and saw the transaction fee charged so maybe just pay by 28degree to play safe.

        • Was charged 3% on a CBA card so yes best to use a card with no international fees!

  • Thanks opp might purchase jr rail passes now

Just be careful with this. I booked as required on desktop and only got around 1.5% cashback logged. Have put in a support claim but haven’t heard anything. So maybe don’t rely on this coming through

    • exact same thing happened to be when the CB was at 4% when i bought the JR pass 1 month ago. I logged a claim as well.

    • Was just about to buy 5 JR passes. Bit concerned about this.

      • Will be hard to secure it cheaper elsewhere. I would still go with it if youre going to buy it

        • I'm just looking into my crystal ball. Travel December 1, I know if I purchase today they will have a similar deal to a couple of months ago…..arrrgh What to do

    • If anyone else had this, I emailed them and they fixed it up for me with the full cashback.

Thanks OP - I've been hanging out for a better cashback on Klook! Save >$220 for 2AD+2CH passes!

Got a confirm a email for the correct 12% tracked amount too.

    Sweet.

Thanks Op. Saving over aud 260 dollars for 3a and 1c, 14 days pass.

Might get negged but waiting on shopback to compete

  • Just bought two 14 day Jr passes .. now just waiting for my $152.60 of cashback to track :D

  • If you want to tempt fate you can also use the link 241AIRPORT and it gives an extra $50 but it's not a verified cashrewards promo code

    • I cant find any t&cs stating using vouchers (other than listed) are ineligible

      • For all cashrewards purchases it states if you use a promo not listed it may be ineligible for cash back

        • I can't see my purchase tracked either, how long we should wait before we raise it with Cashrewards please ?
I have a feeling I might not get the 12% because I used one of the other code, its a lesson learnt to make sure you read ALL their fine prints before purchase. :-(

  • Does the cashback apply to AUD purchases only or other currencies as well?

    • +1

      should be all currencies

  • FML was researching whether to buy the 7 or 14 day pass and completely missed the fact that this expired at midnight :( hopefully shopback will bring something out to compete
