Where is the single 'go-to' shop to buy the cheapest furniture.

Need to furnish a few apartments recently for my work place's short-term rental portfolio.

Where does everyone go (online is fine) for their 'cheap but does the job' furniture store. Items are to be new.

As this is not for myself, just want to buy from a simple 'go-to' store. Don't want to shop around from different places.

Budget is approx 8-9K for each two bedroom apartment including white goods (fridge/washing) and basic kitchenette equipment.

Thanks!

    IKEA?

    • Required it delivered, and I've found IKEA in the past charging more for delivery, and their items I feel cost more what it is sometimes.

Could you get a gig economy person to pickup and deliver from IKEA. You might even get them to put the furniture together for you.

    AMART?

  • Prebuilt or flat pack?

    • Flat pack. Assuming that is the cheaper option, and I could either install myself or pay for installation service separately.

There's no need to provide your location. No need at all.

    Fantastic furniture.

Just don't look directly at the furniture or it will suffer wear and tear.

  • buy Amart gift cards at 10% and stack when they have storewide deals.

If you don't have any of the main ones, you can use redeem your giftcard

    otherwise ikea, fantastic furniture,

  • I found AMART to have decent looking furniture for a good price.

a lot of people are mentioning Ikea, I found there prices more expensive and the furniture wasn't nice. I liked Ikea's closet/wardrobe section, that was good.

  • Not a single shop, but go to one of those home-maker centres with a selection of shops. There's heaps of them. Sometimes they're situated close to IKEA.

  • Thanks guys, I have a good idea now!
