LG V30 Lagging Badly

My LG V30 which is just under a year old has started lagging terribly. It takes a minute just to type out a short message or 5 seconds just to open/close anything. Basically everything lags.

No idea what to do. I bought via ebay from an overseas seller so not sure how the warranty would play out? Is there any way to have it fixed cheaply?

I would suggest baking up everything you deem important. This will clear your phone so it's like brand new

      Re backing your phone,

You might want to try plugging the phone into your computer. There should be a prompt to ask what you want to do (just charge, internet tethering, FILE TRANSFER) choose the file transfer.

Then you should be able to see your files in the computer and just drag and drop whatever is important

  • Thanks. What's the best way to do that with a phone that's lagging so badly. I've seen at phone shops they can do it super fast with a machine/gizmo from one phone to another

    • You need to look at what files you want to keep. Backup photos to gphotos or pc and contacts to google contacts. Save messages or app files if you need to - copy in bulk and selectively paste back into the android apps folder..

After you reset and log in using a google account you should be prompted to restore your apps - all the log ins and saved data can be hit and miss.

If you want to do it carefully I suggest you use google to find a detailed guide.

  • Thanks guys!

    • Update us on how it went

Anyone had any luck with removing all of the LG bloatware from their V30+?

Well I backed up everything and reset phone to factory settings.

Sadly it's still lagging badly. Not quite as bad as before but still slow enough to be unusable.

    Any suggestions?
