    ‘Cash me outside’

  • Just to confirm for this; if you purchase a pre order through cashback you will only receive the cashback once the payment for the pre order has been processed through Amazon?

    • Cashback doesn't get paid out for 2 or 3 months after payment for the item, where payment in this case will happen when the item ships.

  • +2

What is shopback? Is this like another service i need to be subscribed to?

    • +15

Hand in your ozbargain badge now!!!!!!

    • +1

Shopback and others are business partners of various businesses that want paying traffic.

You click a link that they provide which contains tracking information and then buy what you want. Then the vendor pays Shopback for your traffic/sale and Shopback gives you a portion of that money.

It's the same process as clicking on an ad except you are receiving a commission for clicking on it and buying stuff.

      • On a side note, am I the only one annoyed by how much money there is in this? Presumably Shopback and cashrewards take cuts of what they pass on. Imagine if the stores just routinely charged 3-5% less (and in some cases more)

  • is the 50$ total? It can be split across multiple transactions right? (5$ prime bonus per transaction is better to get multiple times)

    • +1

To get $5 for each game you have to buy them separately. And 12% cashback will be over the price after prime savings.

      • Yeah. Just checking that the 12% cashback wasn't only on one transaction or something… Now to decide if i'll get off my arse for ring fit adventure :P

        • ^ ring fit is actually amazing, brought it with maccas's 20 dollars coupon plus 5 dollars discount. working my legs everyday :)

  • What are the chances of a price cut on the switch lite on black Friday?

    • Won't be much as there already best deals before launch. And it is just released handheld version. Chances are thin but there will be still something keep looking ozbargain.

    I love Pokemon

    • I love Pokeaman too 😂🤣

  • +2

You can get Pokemon for $55.50 if you have a $20 Maccas Monopoly Amazon voucher and you buy a copy for a friend
    1. Create new Amazon account and start the free prime trial
    2. Add 2 copies of Pokemon to cart
    3. Apply voucher and checkout with free expedited delivery

    68 + 68 = 136
    136 - 20 - 5 = 111
    111 / 2 = 55.50 each

Even cheaper if you use the cashback

    • can you use a new amazon account with the same cashback/shopback account though?

      • Yes, I have gotten confirmed cashback from using different amazon accounts.

    • Can you get cashback with the Monopoly voucher though?

      • +1

Probably yes but only on the amount you pay (less the voucher.)

        • Pretty sure the whole order will be ineligible for cashback

          • @EVA-01: I've successfully redeemed cashback on two occasions where I partially paid with promotional credit. The amount I paid with credit card was calculated.

            • @DuckKnight: Good to know. As long as it's not counted as Amazon Credit I think you're good

    • Might be better to use it on other things if the 5 dollar preorder discount only applies once per order.

  • Shenmue 3 PS4 $65.93 (prime member) after cashback.

    • $66 is an ok price for a 3A game but is too much for Shenmue 3 imo. That game looks subpar.

  • How are Amazon with pre-orders when it comes to delivery times?

I usually just get it on launch day so I can play straight away

    • +3

If it is Amazon Prime Account delivery. All the Pre-orders are received on Launch Date.

    • +3

I got Modern Warfare delivered the day before release.

    • +2

They're really good especially with AusPost locker. You'll get it delivered on Friday launch day, finish work, grab it from parcel locker and head home to play.

  • +1

Will Shopback pay with the use of the Prime voucher?
"Cashback is not qualified for: Purchases of gift cards and the usage promo codes or Voucher codes not approved by ShopBack."

  • is it gonna track after the payment went through for preorder or it tracks after few days you preordered?

    • Tracks after you complete the preorder process i.e. before your payment method is charged.

      • Thanks. just want to make sure. cause usually it takes few hours to track with shopback. But this time is more than 15 hours now, still nothing from shopback.

Do you need a membership just to trade online? Also is it going to cost to bring pokemon over from 3DS? if so the game should be cheaper me thinks

    • they went the console route. Any online you need memebership which sucks and the only reason I buy single player exclusives on discount. I pay my ISP to have access to internet why tf do I need to pay Nintendo,Sony and Microsoft again to gain access to the internet.

      • +1

While you are absolutely correct about the need to pay for online subscription on top of your internet fees, you can get a 12 month subscription for ~$7 for NSO if you find 8 other people to share a family plan. Beats the $60 a year for PS Plus

    • Yes switch online is required for trading, battling, etc.

Pokemon can only be transfered into the game with the new cloud-based system called Pokemon Home which is set to be released next year. Only Pokemon that is part of the Galar Pokedex can be transfered in.

      • Hopefully we can work around this with hacked switches.

  • Australian post has 5% off amazon gift card stack it with this and it'll be even cheaper. IDK how many of you will go through these hoops though.

    • +1

Those are physical cards, so you won't get them before the cashback promo is over. It's better to buy now using the bonus cashback. (7.5% additional cashback Vs 5% GC)

      • oh dammit you're right. I thought they were digital :(

  • Comes out 15th November.

  • should it have tracked already? hasnt tracked in few hours

  • Will this one let us battle wild Pokemon, or only catch them (redundant) like the remake of yellow?

    • Yeh you can battle wild pokemon in this one like normal since it's part of the "Main" series, unlike the Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee games.

  • I think I just got cashback from shopback for Pokemon Sword and it was only $2.

    • Yeah it's only a 3.5% cashback, not 12% as OP claims (deal expired)
