Hi can highly recommend the Kogan GU10's. I use quite a range of smart lights (Xioami, LIFX, Philips HUE, TP-Link) and the Kogans have been the most reliable of the lot. In fact, I haven't had to reboot them once in the 4 months I've had them. Whereas the other brands all drop off the network and require a reboot every couple of weeks.

You might want to look into other factors if the others are all dropping off. They are all quite reliable usually

      • The Hue are dropping off the network?

        • The HUE stuff is pretty reliable but the bridge does need the occasional reboot.

  • Was it always this price?

  • Has anyone tried to connect gridconnect to home assistant?

  • purchased 2 and connect it with "grid Connect" apps. control Fine remotely and timer.

  • Just an FYI about smart bulbs, not necessarily Arlec but most brands:

I purchased 4 Arlec smart bulbs from Bunnings at this price and decided to test what would happen in a power failure by switching off the mains for a few secs. As I expected, when the power came back, all light were on. This would be a pain if no one's home and they're on all day (even though they don't consume much power) or in the middle of the night having them wake you up.

Philips have fixed this issue in their software (according to many reports on the net) where it will remember the light bulb state prior to losing power and restore to that state, but Arlec have not, yet. I logged a support ticket about this and they are aware of this and are working on a fix, but it's not available yet but hopefully coming soon
