Just got a letter from AGL, telling me that my electricity will be increase 9.3% and my gas will be increase 15.53% on 3 Aug 2011. Remember this is before carbon tax implement, imagine if carbon tax start it next year.

I have found Lumo energy to be the cheapest. They give you a 10% discount for paying your bill on time, plus guarantee to match any offer that other electricity companies have.

NSW rates went up because the government advised rates went up on 1st of July. Most retailers increased their rates on 1st of July in NSW. AGL delayed this until August.

red energy saving = 180 *4 = 720, 5% = 36 * 2 = 72 +75 = 147

But isn't the 10% for only the first 12 months and for the life you are with Origin.
it doesn't said the discount only for 12 months, but they want you stay with them minimum 12 months.
I am currently with Origin and was signed up for 7% off electricity and 7% off Gas for 12 months…But I called up to say that i was offered a better deal and they matched it with 10% off electricity and 10% off gas…This doesn't include maintenance cost though

just got phone call from agl today, asked me to stay with them, they will give me 15% off for my electricity as long as i joined 24 months plan with them
not worth it if you can get cheaper rates and a discount from elsewhere.
