      Yes, the One X isn't a sequel to the XBOX One as it has the same operating system and the exact same games library. Works the same as a regular XBOX One just performs better in games.

    I want this to expire soon or I'll end up with one.
    My OG Xbox One has only played mcc and 1 level of H5, and gathered dust since then.
    If I buy this, I know that at best, I'll play GOW5 and then never use it again. Yet still tempted.

        I already have the OG Xbox One, so I could buy the game and just play it on this.
        I loved GoW 1-3.

        I kind of went off the Xbox this generation. I was let down by MS releasing a better Xbox One after I bought this first one and the stupid adapter to connect the controllers to the PC.
        Then there weren't any good GoW games on the console.
        Then Halo 5 didn't feel like Halo 1-3/reach, and didn't let me couch-coop the campaign like I always used to do.
        And the bloody thing had such a messy interface (I guess the Windows 8 UI team got moved to the Xbox) and kept needed massive updates when I turned it on.
        I even tried to play a DVD on it once and it needed an online update to play (didn't have the internet available as I'd just moved house). Ended up getting out my old PS2 to play it.

        I was a huge XboxOG, Xbox360 and Halo Fan but Microsoft have killed it for me. Thinking about and typing this out has convinced me not to buy the updated console.
        And based on your comment, I'll wait for GoW5 to be like $15 used at EB.

      I think it's justifiable to buy a console just for a single game, if you get a good experience out of it, why not?

      You will be able to sell it second hand for $300-400 easy so it's really the cost of a night out at the pub

        It's about an 8 hour game so cost you $56/hr to play.

        Saying that I did quite enjoy it but won't pay $56/hr to play.

        I'm not saying don't buy a console for one (fantastic) game. I am saying that Gears 5 is not that game. I think that the Coalition has killed the franchise.

      Gears of War 5 is on PC through Microsoft Store and available to purchase on Steam too, don't waste money on a console when it's not even an exclusive.

    I ordered and received mine however it appears the console box has been previously opened…. its kinda odd but the sticky circular seals have been cut and they have put new ones over the old ones. Anyway else receive their console this way?

    Is this some sort of standard eb practice?
