[NSW] 2016 Toyota Yaris Write off or Repairable?

I was involved in a small car accident on the weekend. Insurance has been sorted but wanting to know if this damage is enough for a write off? Only had the car for a month :( 2016 Toyota Yaris Ascent Hatch. Here are photos

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, had different answers on another forum. Guess I’ll just have to wait & see what the insurance assessor has to say!

      Whirlpool is full of idiots.

  • Need more photos.

    • Yeah I realised they’re not the best photos / all in one angle. I’ll take more tomorrow morning properly.

Wasn’t serious. That’s a bucket load of photos compared to what is normally provided.

        My guess is repair job.

        • Had to provide more photos from another forum lol
          Thanks for your input

          • @NM0906: Swearing on Whirlpool won't improve your aura.

To stay on topic, repair, unless there is some unseen and unlikely major structural issue.

            • @Daabido: Settle down, it wasn’t a full on swear word - it was shortened and I apologised as I wasn’t in the right state of mind at the time.

Consider the thread abandoned by the OP, just like his Whirlpool post.

    • I just replied to your comment a split second ago. I’m still keeping an eye on it & gathering information. I will be updating the Whirlpool post since others are intrigued by the insurance quote also.

  • Take some pics from under the car, If any thing structural is bent it may be a right of.

Does the back wheel rub when you drive?

    • I’ll take photos tomorrow morning but I did have a look and didn’t see bends or anything. Tyres are fine, wheel alignment feels the way it was before the accident.

When the accident happened, the panel was overlapping the tyre so I had to lift the panel up (the way it is on the photos) so I could park it in a safer place.

      — Just found this terrible photo in my album of underneath if this would be any help lol https://imgur.com/a/NmvrQLv

  • It's definitely a write off…

… I'm assuming because it's a Yaris, that scratched up door and tyre is all that's left of the car after colliding with a bicycle.

I'd guess about $4k for what is shown. The cars worth $12k? No write off unless the airbags went off as well.

    • Yeah that’s what I thought as well! Thanks for replying :)

  • that'll buff out.

  • The chassis and the frame in these cars are combined. If the frame isnt bent you might be able get it repaired, check underneath to check if anything is bent, comparing it to the other side
