  • Is this just Porter St? Or can I select another blend?

    • nm - it's right there.

you'll miss out on any cash back though

        And any Groupon discounts.

    • No you can't. You need the discount code which is only given after the purchase of the groupon.

      • i didnt need the discount code just went to pnr.to/Groupon6 and purchased

        • That shows the price of $48 - adding the groupon code makes it $0 (as you have already paid via groupon)

          • @randomdude14: interesting. worked for me without purchasing through Scoupon, but not now gives full price

      • I tried earlier in work - and yes the link originally had $79 for 6 deliveries but now says $144

Jumped on this last week, but sad it's only Porter St.

  • Any good for filtered coffee in something like a Delter Press?

  • Porter St. is not my favourite from P&R so unfortunately no deal for me
It's a shame they've stopped those half price x first 3 orders deals they used to have.

    • which is your preferred blend? is porter st their strongest blend?

      • I don't remember which one it was but it was one of their single origin beans I got with their discounted subscription earlier this year.

They don't let you select the actual bean but all you can do is select "single-origin" and you are sent whatever they choose, a bit strange really but they are all pretty good beans.

I just can't bring myself to pay full price after paying half price for more than 8 months with their promotions. I think that's why they have stopped these deals.

  • I didn't think they did 500g bags so is it 2 x 250g bags? That would be much better. And I'm assuming it's two weeks apart? So 2 x 250g immediately and then 2 x 250g two weeks later?

I've never had the Porter St so am interested. But am sitting on about a kilo of coffee right now.

"250g packaging with nitrogen flushing ensures that the coffee stays fresh."
And you can set the time frame of delivery.
I usually am 1kg every 5 weeks, so this is good for me.
      Porter street is my regular

  • Was just about due for my next delivery so this comes in handy.

  • Don't mind the Porter Street, got some free with my Breville. This deal inc 10% off AND 10% cashback (today only) is pretty good.

  • I tried the code ‘FRIYAY’ and told me it was expired, but would I like to apply a mystery discount which game me 10% off so 71.10 for 3kg so a decent discount

  • This coffee is roasted so dark I am struggling to get any flavour out of beyond bitter and burnt.

This is hands down the worst bean I have tasted this year. I am following their recipe of 2:1 over 30s, but all I can taste is burnt.

I will not be buying this again, unless someone else has better results and maybe I got a bad batch due to the sale price.

    • Whilst Porter St isn't my favourite blend from P&R, I'm certainly not getting anything close to burnt (Sunbeam EM7000). It seems to turn out quite well as a milk based drink.
And yes this batch is part of the Groupon deal, received it on Tuesday this week. Might be worth contacting them with your experience to see what they say.
The only beans I've had this year that were undrinkable were from Baybeans. Those were so dark and oily, only approached drinkable when the beans began to stale after 4 weeks.
