    • USB 3 is backwards compatible so it will work fine. I edited the description.

    • My laptop only has USB 2.0 ports and wondering how can I get it works on my machine?

yes, i have one and it works fine… if anything, the connector on the drive is much more robust

    • if your laptop has an expresscard or pc card slot, you can get a USB3 adapter card that will give you faster speeds than USB2 but not as fast as a normal USB3 port (because expresscard is limited to 5gbps BUT this probably won't limit the speed with a HDD anyway).

      • How much is the adapter, roughly? Where I can get it?

  • I think I saw on a JB hifi leaflet Buffalo 1GB 2.5inch USB3 for $98.
