  Is there much difference between the expensive ones like this and a cheap one for $50-$80?

    Nope. I used to have a Philips and now use a $69 KMart one. Every bit as good and easier to clean. There are now 3 models in their range. 3.2L ($69), 5.3L ($89) and 11L ($129 - more like an oven than an air fryer)

      Interesting. Nearly picked one of the Kmart ones up but the price just seems too cheap. Would you say go the 5L over the 3L?

        It wasn't available when I got mine, but now I would recommend the 5.3L one as it is 1800w compared to 1500w for the 3L one. Also, the basket has more room if you want to cook something bigger like a chicken. There is a great facebook page that shares recipes and tips exclusively for the Kmart machines.

          @wombat1955: the kmart models are massive. I went in intending to buy the 3.2L, but balked when I saw the size.

            @lostn: Not really that much different in size to the Philips, but the 5.2L is reasonably big.

                @lostn: I understood you, but the outside dimensions are not a lot different to the Philips. I have one sitting in the same space where I used to have a Philips and it doesn't take up any more room.
