welcome to the world of craft beer, have to work overtime to feed my habit

        • Honesty, you should just start home brewing. At craft beer price you'd have some nice gear and a practically limitless supply of beer.

          • @Yawhae: Good luck brewing something as good as this without many years practice.

            • @prhino: Yeah I brew my own but I also buy nice beers like this occasionally to remind myself how mediocre mine is. Saves me a lot of money though, and offsets purchases like these.

              • @Peter Enis: If you want your home brewing to get closer to the real thing, the All Inn Brewing FWK aka Fresh Wort Kit might be just the thing you need. It's a 15 litre goon bag in a box, which is about the size of a carton of cans. RRP ~$45, just add water (to fill a 20 litre home fermenter) and yeast.

Great little brewery BTW, Harley is a real character. And no "goddamn hipsters and their stupid beards" :)

      • US craft imports are so expensive

    • Lol this guy

    • You can buy Corona for cheaper if you like

    • it is also 6.5% which is the same strength as a double black

This is a sensational beer. Right up there with the Oaked XPA in my shortlist. Better get my Hawaiian shirt on and head down…

I'll see you there! Been looking for a reason to bust this bad boy out

      • Aha we might be at odds - here's mine :)

        • Ha, I've just moved to Yeronga so they're my home team!!

  • Here’s hoping they got stock left after 6pm.

    • +1

Was all gone in like half an hour, and that's even with them adding another pallet to the pile to be sold.

Don't be mad you have to stick to pig swill.

Self-professed craft beer nerd checking in. This is an absolute steal for $50 a case. Beats the pants off anything else that generally goes for that price.

I won't down vote you. I feel for you. I just truly wish there was a way for you to avoid purchasing this pretentious shite. It's bloody unreasonable of society to force you to buy and consume craft beer every day :-(

Thanks man. Ballistic is actually my local and slipstream and helios are nearby. I can't escape goddamn hipsters and their stupid beards and floral tasting notes.

    • Someone's a fan of the German purity law. SIEG HEIL! D:

      • No - fruit bowls, pineapple, mango and apricot are my idea of a great tasting beer. Beer for people who don't like the taste of beer. Lol

They hated him because he spoke the truth XD

        • +1

you know there's more than one type of beer out there right
they dont all use the same letter 4 times in their name

        • The "hoppy race to the bottom" comment suggests not liking the taste of beer! This one should suit perfectly!

        • This provides a VERY interesting insight. I'm very surprised by how many people must choose consecutive numbers. I would guess that their thinking was that most people would avoid consecutive numbers because it doesn't "look" probable. They tried to out-think the average punter and found that lots of other people did the same. Where there are million of people playing it only takes a minute percentage to have the same idea as you and you're screwed. In reality the best way is to go truly random. There's always the bind of what happens when you select randomly and turn up a series or pattern. I think I'd be tempted to re-randomise in such situations…..

@capslock janitor: Clearly drunk too much beer based on that post

            • @SBOB: Yeah that was quite random.

Anyway, my current poll is showing 19 people who like fruity, flowery beer and flower patterned shirts. Chance correlation? Don’t think so.

I bet these people also like a parasol in their beer and a flower in their hair. Possibly also giving each other back rubs. Lol

Is my trolling getting too obvious?

              • @lunchbox99: Nah you sounded like a wan ker from the get go.

The beer tastes like beer. If you don't like this particular one that's fine but why act like everyone else is in the wrong. Enjoy your TEDs.

                • @Hinee: OK… 20 hipster douches. Little precious.

  • Hmmmm tempting…!!! But is it worth the drive over to the south side before I start my arvo shift on Friday.

    • No. Piss off. ;)

now if it was $50 delivered to Melbourne, sure…

    • Need more Bridge Road Mystery cases :)

  • Cracking beer. Highly recommend this

  • Good deal for that considering any rubbish carton of small bottles is $47 these days.. May have to pop past, not far away:)

  • All gone, there didn’t seem to be a max limit. Watched some guy walk out with six cartons! I grabbed two

    • Are you serious? Booooooo I was going to go after work. Devo :(

      • +2

        Hey mate

There is a 2PP limit. My mates wife just picked up a couple of cartons for him and myself. So don't worry! There is still hope to snag a carton this arvo!

What Richie said must of been a bloke buying different cartons.

        • +2

Nope was just there and sold out of the cheap ones.. funny, they had plenty to sell at full price

          • @oompa: Ahh that sucks - they only had 32 cartons to start with and they were only a month left til expiry. Hopefully more stock gets sold cheap soon

  • Was only 32 cartons to start with. Stock is 5 months old so one month left before they're '6 month exp'.

So wont be Fresh AF but still a tasty (all Aussie hops) drop!

    Beer Me!

  • Carton secured, was a lot of people there

The hazards of posting a deal before securing it yourself…

Damn. Decided to get some free Uber eats before heading over and was too late. Decided to try the beer anyway just in case it was crap and I wouldn't feel so bad about missing out. Unfortunately I really liked it. Yes, it's fruity, but not in a sweet way like some other fruity beers. It's got a real nice bitter tang to it.

  • Damn it, I was heading there as soon as I got home from work.

  • +2

Knock off pints at Salisbury who's with me.

  • Nabbed 2 cartons. Got there at 1:40 - were sold out at 1:50pm.

Bloke I was chatting to was the manager who organised the event and was shocked at how many ppl showed up.

Said they had a pallet (70 cartons) set aside and ended up doing a second pallet too (my 2 cartons have best befores end of dec 2019).

They were saying 2 cartons per person but some old lady kicked up a big stink trying to Broden it and they ended up giving her 8.
