      $40/case, thank you!

  • Is it imported or locally brewed. It looks local, so not as good taste wise IMPO.

  • What are the chances this beer will be close to or past its date? I wouldn't mind a coupla witbiers now that the weather's warming up, but not if it's not fresh.

If it's past its best before date it should have been noted on the listing and if it's close to the best before date it is still good to drink as best before date can be drunk well beyond that.

Yeah, beer is safe to drink for a long time past its date, but the hops fade away the older a beer gets. Some people like cellaring beers like strong Belgian ales, but I like em fresh for the most part.

FYI the last three Hoogarden deals I got this year ( from CUB and Kogan ) have all been well within the UBD with 4-6months to go. Not sure here.

@ozhunter68: Cool, thanks for the info. I might give these a crack.

@Fappo: Or an Aussy wheat beer? No orange peel in here though lol.

@ozhunter68: I'm not generally a big wheat beer guy, but I don't mind em sometimes. The Paulaner wheaties at Aldi a few weeks back were delish. No orange peel there either, but delish! [edit:] and MUCH nicer than Redbacks

@ozhunter68: Thanks for the headsup though, but I'm not a big fan of Redback.

@ozhunter68: Was it imported or brewed locally?

            • +1

@spc12go: All three I got online ( 2 from ebay CUB and one from Kogan ) were the yummy imported cases.

If not I would not have ordered any more ( I'm a bit partial as I'm a Belgian born Assie haha, actually,…I do prefer the taste ) lol.
