Laser BD3000 Multi Region Blu-Ray Player $78 @ JB Hi-Fi

70

Available in-store only. Usually about $99. Cheapest ever was $69.30 in 2017 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/352527)

Killer feature for this player is region free for DVD and region switching for Blu-Ray. 3 year warranty too.

I price matched at Officeworks (https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/laser-blu-…) and scored it at $74.10 since the closest JB Hi-Fi with stock was over 20km away.

    What is this for?

a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away, movies and music used to be distributed on optical discs you buy from a B&M store.

The machine allows you to play said discs.

      You dont need this machine.

For playback of physical versions of blu ray rips.

    • Replaces your VHS player.

I've had an earlier version of this for over six years now, hasn't skipped a bit.

To be fair to Laser stuff… I have a fair few of their crap from GPS to stbs to car cams etc.

They stuff never breaks down or fails however they never worked that well even brand new out of the box.

        Reliable mediocrity.

You kind of want them to break at the 3-4yr mark so you can just replace them with something better.

        • I still have a 4GB Laser MP3 player from 2007 that is still going strong. I still hate using it.

  • I had laser stuff lasted better than other yum cha stuff

  • i cant believe you'd sell anything without a media player client built into it these days, though that said, for the price, would be a decent deal if it did! (given vodafone boxes are around this price)

the amount of time you use blueray though, I'll just stick with my ps3 thanks.

These are awesome multiregion and all formats players! They even have decent DLNA media player built in (network or locally attached HDD/USB).
