JB Hi-Fi Mobile Deal Able to Be Bargained?

Hi, I've just missed out on the JB Mobile/Telstra $65/m + $500 gift card deal a couple weeks ago. I've been told by multiple stores that the current version of this deal only includes a $400 gift card.

My question is, knowing that a lot of prices at JB are negotiable, would it be possible for a team member to give me the $500 card with the plan, were I to convince them? Or do you think it's something actually limited by their systems?

Just want to know if I'm wasting my time before I go in and try. Would love if someone had actual knowledge of working in their mobile dept. Thanks

    No

  • If you wanted to get an iPhone with the gift card you can get TGG offer:

No, the gift card amount is not something they are able to change or negotiate on. It is only available for a set time frame. The gift card offers are then removed/changed once the offer has finished.

Just wait a few weeks. The 500 GC deal has come up 3x since late Sept.

    • hmm, looks like it does come up pretty often. guess I'll just wait

Many of these deals are based off Telstra rebates. So you can't negotiate as its a fixed Telstra deal.

Just get s10e deals, you should be able to get $700 profit at least if you sell both the phone and the galaxy buds

    • Thanks so much for alerting me to this, my mate was about to cop an s10e - he gets it for like half price and i get my phone plan :))

There are still some deals here, I took a pic of all the available ones yesterday. If you wanted the $500 to put towards the phone there are still options

  • I saw a deal on JB last Sunday where any iPhones can get $400 off over a 12 months Telstra plan, not sure how long it will last though

  • Thanks guys, went in and got the s10e deal yesterday. Can confirm that the amounts for the gift cards, etc appear to be based on Telstra rebates and don't appear negotiable.

  • Does anyone know if the s10e will be extended again?
