Is not a Sidchrome replacement!

    • Which do you think would be the better option?

      • Depends on what you need I reckon, for basic tools to use in household then use OP’s link otherwise use MickBubba’s link (this one doesnt have hammer and thin nose plier).

  • From reviews I have read, the Mechpro are slightly better quality and the reason why they give 3 year warranty vs the GV 1 year warranty. But the other consideration is the tools that come with each set and the toolbox itself. That is a personal preference based on what you need for home. $49 for either is a not much, so only good enough for home handyman type work and not a serious tradie type work. Maybe a good Chrissy present for the father-in-law…

    • Thanks, probably will go with OP.

It’s just something complete to fill the gaps in my make shift tool set.

    • A question about warranty, what does that even cover?

  • Mechpro usually aren't CR-V steel, so ok at this price for occasional work, but you want CR-V steel if intending regular use.

    • Is the one linked in first comment, CR-V steel?

    N1 OP.

    Must Resist Bargain… I don't need it….. damn you ozbargain…

  • Good price for the odd job for someone with no tools. Hate cantilever toolboxes though, tippy awkward bloody things. And those black plastic moldings the tools sit in last about 0.5 seconds. But for that price you could just buy a soft Toolpro toolbag and ditch the box.

  • great value. mechpro stuff is not that bad.

        Unfortunately none.
I’m a sucker for a bargain but this wasn’t even close.
