Can I Use Telstra Gateway Frontier DJN2130 with Another ISP?

Hey guys,

I am with Tesltra cable using the Tesltra Gateway Frontier DJN2130 - from what I know, this is ready to sue with NBN when I make the switch.

Now my question is, will I be able to use this with modem if I sign up to NBN with another ISP, e.g ABB or Superloop for example.

Basically I want to continue using it for WIFI as I do now…

Or is this locked to Telstra?

FWIW, I'm not interested in connecting voip.

Cheers

Do you know what type of NBN you're getting? If you're on Telstra cable now, there's a good chance it will be HFC. NBN will provide an HFC modem, and you should be able to connect your Tesltra Gateway to the modem using a network cable. There's a user-written manual for the Telstra Gateway available at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wMm51C3qcHE81IxNZtpxd6AQTUd…

    • Thank you!! Yes it’s HFC.

So you think it will work with regardless which ISP I go with for NBN?

      • I can't be absolutely certain it will work with every provider, but it should. It doesn't cost you anything to try it.
