I don't think they mix very well. Probably why it's so cheap.

RIP oxley/sherwood rd. The traffic will be shet

  • What day and time will they announce the locations?

My experience there last week: got there before 11am, queue was very long already and moved probably 100m every 5-10 minutes, I left after about 15 minutes as it is unlikely I would make it.

I'd say don't bother if you value your time.

Considering it'll be hot around noon and you don't want to inhale the engine exhaust from the cars around, you'd most likely want to turn on your air-con, which in itself would be wasting your fuel.

I'd say this deal only benefited few of those who made it within that hour, Puma and B105 for their marketing stun.

It created huge congestion around that area and wasted police resource to regulate the traffic there. Wasted people's time and negatively impact the environment (people driving longer distance to get there, cars sitting with running engine or engine turning on and off for newer cars over an hour unnecessarily).

They could have created a lucky draw or social media entry of some sort and then randomly pick 50-100 winners to fill up at a local station for 50c instead.

I'm actually on a borderline of negging this deal. It is definitely not an achievable deal if you waited for them to announce it on the radio and not use their app.

    • how many tankers were there in the queue?

I am not sure, I'd say at least 50 in front of me. I read on Facebook some cars forced it's way in from the main road (where the station is at) and police stopped some cars coming out from the actual queue (the side road that I was at), possibly why the queue was moving slow.

I guess more people will be aware of the app this time, so good luck to those going this Friday.

    Any updates on the location?

    • Updated.

  • Just saw a news update about the one at Woodridge. Congestion everywhere.

Good luck if someone was already there but you won't find me in a queue like that…
