Espressotoria Capino Black Coffee Capsule Machine $59 (Was $99) @ Woolworths

31

was after a cheap coffee capsule machine the other day.

saw this in woolies on sale, asked on of the older staff members there about it, they reckon they've had one at home for the past few years with no problems.

$59 can't seem to go wrong, also notice the capsules were on sale for $4.50 per packet.

this is my first venture into using these machines.

it seems to do the job i put water in the back a capsule in the top press a button and coffee comes out.

Is there a good range of coffee pods?

Aldi pods might be cheaper in long run for 16 pack at $5.99 vs 12 pack for $5.50 on special for these machines?

It was free when you buy 6 packs of pods, total cost about $42.

    It was about $10 once.

    Not a deal!

    • 'once', that was many years ago. I purchased mine in that deal. But that was a long time ago.

      • Many years ago?
There's was one just a couple of months ago free with 6 packs of pods.

        • But that was at the regular $99 price no?

The deal mentioned above was to purchase only 6 packs of pods (which totals about $42) and the machine was $0.

I've not seen that deal for years. Obviously I may have missed similar deals, if so I stand corrected!

@iDroid: Yeah, there's been none posted since Dec 27, 2018 but I know I have seen it since (IGA I believe). The pods might have been more like $8 at IGA though, equalling $48.

But still $48 for a coffee machine + 6 packs of pods!

  • Regularly free from IGA if you buy 6 boxes of Vittoria coffee pods.
Also regularly free from Colonial fresh grocery store if you buy 6 boxes of pods.

It's an ok machine. I wouldn't pay for it.
    I've owned 2 before.

    • never knew it was free.

i'm pissed now cause i got 6 packets of pods

      had someone posted it previously?

If you like a somewhat stronger coffee, I recommend getting the Caffe Aurora Espressotoria pods either Italian or Espresso varieties.

Yeah that machine does a decent but not great coffee.

  • This looks like it uses the same pods as the ALDI machine ?? Can anyone confirm ?

    • +1

      No.

      • do you know if these machines will take any other capsules?

        • +1

No they won't. Only the Vittoria and cafe aurora pods.
There's about 5 flavours to choose from.
