These are $349 in store and online. They are $599 at JB-Hi and $399 at Amazon. If you're in the market for hifi wireless headphones this is a steal. Low stock so I wouldn't risk it and wait for black friday.

AFAIK the RS series headphones from Sennheiser are aimed at home theater setups as Bluetooth introduces significant latency which is poor for watching movies.
Latency and compression
Maybe 5 years ago…These days bluetooth headphones selling in this price range use low-latency codecs and have no more latency than the RS series. I own RS175, RS180 and a bunch of high-end bluetooth headphones (mostly Sony but also Sennheiser).
Oh I get that their own codec is probably better.
I'm saying I'd like bluetooth as well in the same unit, so you can switch between them and use these with a laptop etc.

It isn't.
If you're using headphones for your home cinema than Bluetooth isn't the best option. The Sennheiser have a limited range and usability. But again, they are designed for home cinema and not for outdoor use or traveling. With the Sennheiser you can easily connect another pair of headphones where with BT headphones you can only be connected with one paired device at one time.

I'd really like to see these come with a Bluetooth option as well. The proprietary charging thing seems very limiting.
