  • Or wait for midrange 5000 series?

    • Maybe.. But still a good price.

    • +2

I'd wait to at least hear pricing. 5500 should drop in at 580/590 perf but with a far higher efficiency and also be Navi (so will likely see future performance gains).

But if you can't, I doubt you'll see much of a cost drop over this.

  • this comes with only 1 year manufacturer warranty though. That is why this card is a bit cheaper than ASUS, MSI or Gigabyte?

    • Where's it say

    • +1

It's cheaper because ASRock tend to be cheaper in their components. A couple of reviews put the cooling a bit loud/not as good as other cards, for instance, and they don't have a backplate on this card.

  • WOW !

  • +1

Sorry, It was my mistake. It seems 3 year warranty is provided by the manufacturer.

    I spent 250 for 1060 3g 2years ago.
This card just around 10% better.

    • I was about to say the same thing, I sold my 1060 3gb with 200AUD 3 years ago… how the hell is this still 250. And how the hell is the 1060 even more expensive now.

    • +5

But this card also has 8gb of vram

    • +3

Did you notice that the gpu market hasn't really improved much over that time though?

      • +2

        And a weaker Dollar

  • -1

But can it run Crysis… I mean rdr 2?

  • +1

Bought MSI RX580 for 288 around July. It looks like a good deal.

  • +2

Also the MSI and ASUS variants for $37 extra ($284).

  • Looks like you can pick up a RX570 4gb for $183. Not sure if 4gb worth it though.

  • +1

I'm surprised these things still sell for this much.
    Ancient Polaris architecture.

    • +3

Agreed, I paid $320 a year and a half ago for my MSI RX580 8GB ARMOR MK II which also came with a bunch of games to sell off.

      • +2

Yeah, it's almost unprecedented what's happening here.
You wouldn't have been able to sell an Radeon Rx 200 card for this much 2 years after they launched.

Cause there is no nvidia card at this price point with this performance.

1060-6g was closest perf wise but was a lot dearer. 1660 makes that cost/perf even worse, though it is almost another performance tier up. 1650 costs the same but is pissweak & can't even beat a RX570

Totally crazy situation, Nvidia needed a 1650ti that performed ballpark the same to fill the 1060-6g gap. The mindshare would let them cost 10-20% more for the same performance, just like the 1060 was like.
