Police only said it'd be hard to find as camera didn't exactly capture his face and not much footage after ward he took it.
Amazon is happy to do a refund for me. But now this thief has the package and pays zero responsibility for stealing.
Shouldn't Amazon have an option to allow signature option at the door? This is making it too easy for people to steal stuff!
The video footage clearly shows that he is a plumber.
Contact the local plumbers in your area - they should be able to identify him.

Absolute piece of shit! I'd recommend a camera at the door facing out so you can see them approach the door. Also in future get your stuff delivered to a parcel collect locker or a post office so you can collect it yourself at your convenience.

That's why they do it. Stealing mail and packages is one of the easiest crimes to get away with.
See how your car was left untouched but a simple package was stolen.
You can get self locking parcel boxes, expense vs issue needs to be considered. However, you are probably best getting an Australian post parcel locker.. They are free. We get everything “Australian post delivered” sent to ours. There are quite a few around nowadays. As to this guy, print out a still from the video and put them up around the neighbourhood and the local shopping centre poles. Someone will recognise him.
I'm impressed that Amazon is offering to refund you for the stolen package.
ps. you may want to conceal the licence plate of the car in your video
You have some photos, so if you can be bothered, print them out with a message saying - someone stole my packages, if this is you, you can return the package no questions asked, or I'll put up photos of your face next week.

There's a $ cost to printing though. I would just upload on facebook with his face blurred and a countdown until the big reveal.

It seems to be Amazon AU's business decision - they would rather have no signature on delivery for their packages, have people get them quicker and refund for the relatively few packages that go missing, than have it take longer to deliver packages for a lot of people but with less loss/missing packages, etc.
I can see why it is not exactly top priority for the police.
Also if you are ordering from Amazon AU, I think they almost always use Auspost so you can just use a free parcel locker.
From the angle of the video and of the street he's probably a neighbour. Flip flops and no easily visible view of the parcel from the street (from camera pov) indicates nearness.
Just an (profanity) situation, follow djkellys advice and get a parcel locker, now that you know theres a scumbag close by, it'll just push the delivery 1 day and you can be sure to get your package.
Don't confront anybody, its not worth it, since you got your money back and can't prove it 100%. Most you can do is "bikies" if you find out who it is.

Be glad Amazon is willing to refund you. Cops are slack… posties are followed by people like this scum just waiting for the drop.
Look for other ways in which to have your goods delivered. Maybe time to get a postbox.
It's hard to tell from the video but was it even visible from the road? (Didn't look like it was but you could be on a corner)
Unfortunately not a lot you'll be able to do. If you have a local FB group post it on there. Worst part is if he's local then he may come back in future looking for more so getting delivered elsewhere might be a good idea.

Is it just me, or does he have some sort of small tattoo on his right arm almost hidden by the sleeve (more obvious when he is crouched side on)?
If so, may be easier to identify the thief. A higher resolution video would help
