Tefal Bread Maker Not Working Suddenly

Hi everyone

We have this Tefal bread maker PF110E kept in good condition and clean, and suddenly when we went to make bread the motor part that turns the pan paddle just won't work or move at all. We always kept dry, too. Tefal spare parts store wasn't very helpful said bring it in and see what happens and could cost $100 and they're very far. Any useful ideas on what to do? Does it need oiling? Jiggling? Help. Don't want to throw away. Thanks in advance.

Unplug the power cable. Take the machine apart (might need to turn upside down?) then inspect the paddle mechanism to see why it might not be turning. We bought a Panasonic breadmaker a while back for about $240 so I don;t know why you'd pay someone $100 just to look at your old one. :)

    • No we won't tat's why wanna try and fix it ourselves. I think paddle fine just the turning motor thing not working…

    Landfill

    • Ebay!

  • Does the motor sound like it's turning, but the paddle doesn't turn? Often there will be a plastic couple or gear between the two, this could be broken. Likely not a spare part that's available.

Could also be the the plastic paddle has snapped where the shaft goes through, and now the shaft can just spin without turning the paddle.
