    Any good deals on 32gb?

  • Some decent pricing on the USB Drives - gosh I remember paying significantly more even for same items.

ps. +1 for the shop name (although maybe it has nothing to do with the Simpsons).

(although maybe it has nothing to do with the Simpsons).

Damn I was reading as "Aypuss" now I can't UNsee Apu's

    Great price, nice one.

SanDisk 128GB Ultra Flair USB 3.0

    Review:
    Read 96.3 / Write 60.6
    Overall great for the price

  • good deals, though at checkout I keep getting "This code can't be applied. You can only use it via: computer browser, eBay app for iPhone, mobile browser, eBay app for Android, eBay app for iPad." I've tried in chrome, edge and firefox. :(

edit: refreshing the browser magical 10 times seems to fix it…

What does everyone do with these massive thumb drives? Maybe I'm strange but I haven't used one in years. Always seem to sell big on here.

    • +3

      Replaced my MacMini boot drive

      • Any other use cases?

        • Yes, I bought a 128GB to replace my dead 64GB boot drive, which replaced my dead MacMini boot drive.

        • Giving Remux DD5.1 Linux distros to friends

        • +1

Expanding storage on a nvidia shield, using it as a boot drive for various os, or transferring cod modern warfare although it's too big even for 128GB haha

    • Sony PS Classic RetroArch build. That's where the last one I bought went.

    • Use it as a download folder for my windows tablet. Don't really want to wear out the internal emc

I'd pick one that doesn't generate too much heat though.

      • +2

Don’t forget to use an external display so you wear out the built-in one!

        • Oh I use mspaint and do a black background, then full screen it. Tablet will stay on for 5 hours then go into locked lower power mode where it may crash after 14 hours.

    • I use mine for high quality audio - music library for the car. also audio books.

    • I have one in the car with my music library on it

    • Massive? My ultra fit is tiny, I leave it plugged into my Android TV box for extra storage and recording. It's more convenient for use with other devices than a microSD card, and the ultra fit is faster.

      • Lmao I meant massive in terms of storage. But yeah cool that makes sense! I just don't have a usage case for it so I was curious.

        • Yep, the world has moved on since 4mb drives were huge :}

    • I have an ultra fit that I leave plugged into the usb slot of my car stereo with all my music, podcasts etc on it.

  • Hi OP, does APUS have got any mouse deals?

  • +1

Does everyone here has ebay plus?

    • +3

      No

    • +5

Fortunately not. Because seeing $10 postage just saved me $12 on something I would've forgot I wanted 5 minutes from now.

      • nuthin like that feeling of letting hot cakes ,, burn :-)

  • +2

Just bought the 128gb dual drive for $23.96, thanks OP

I hope to use it for transferring 4K movies via USB-C from my MacBook to watch using the TV usb type-A

    • which TV

      • +1

        usb type-A

        Sony Bravia x8000g 65inch

  • Haven't bought a stick in a while. Does my computer have to be compatible with 3.0? My comp is from like 2010. Thanks for the help.

    • +2

If your computer supports USB 2 but not USB 3, using a USB 3 device will cause it to run at USB 2 speeds, but it will work.

  • +3

$15 delivery. I'm tempted to neg the deal.
No way it costs that much to mail the item, and that's more than the product is worth.

    • +1

I think this is more so a deal for ebay plus subscribers, like most deals these days. And it makes sense - the subscription prices are probably a big source of income they use to subsidise the cost of these promotions.

  • Which one should I get? Need one for windows boot, another for watching tv shows. ty

  • Ok bros… 256gb fit looks good but 128gb for like $23 bucks is nice

Using it for laptop surface 2 extra storage

  • Do any of these get hot?

    • +1

I have a 64GB Sandisk Ultra Fit and it gets pretty warm when left plugged in for a while.

    • +1

I think you'll find they all get pretty warm under use, and the faster they go the hotter they get. The ultra flair gets hotter than the ultra fit (I have both), partly because of the metal housing, but I leave them plugged in for days if not weeks at a time with no adverse affects.

  • +1

$14.95 for shipping - i am sure it is more than actual shipping cost.

    • +7

I think Apus' scam is that when ebay plus members purchase it, ebay picks up part of the shipping cost. So by inflating the shipping they are increasing the kickback from ebay and can price the item itself really cheap. Don't know how they keep getting away with it without ebay catching on. I've bought cheap SD cards from them with a $15 shipping cost ($0 for plus) that was posted in a regular envelope for $1.

      • I've bought cheap SD cards from them with a $15 shipping cost ($0 for plus) that was posted in a regular envelope for $1.

Now people can see how much of a scam eBay Plus is; a membership just to remove the postage cost from items that didn't attract one in the first place.

      • +1

That's almost as dodgy as making a new email account every 30 days to get the free trial with eBay plus ;)

  • Just got the 64gb 3.0 fit mini one for $11.96, there was a $20 voucher when I cancelled my ebay plus trial (on the wifes a/c as mine had expired) so paid the $49 yearly fee… which meant $29 for plus for the year, which makes purchases like these worthwhile for free shipping! Anyone else get the $20 voucher before cancelling? Hadnt seen it mentioned here….. decent I thought….

  • Postage is a real cost guys

Many companies just run at a loss absorbing postage to keep subscribers or customers

eBay plus fee is just like Costco fee, these companies only make money out of the subscriber fee vs actual sales

Always interested to see how this model plays out evidently very well

Places like Costco run on 10-15% margin and rely completely on the membership fee for profitability

  • Code doesn't work

    • Oh my account was still addressed for the UK deal hahas

    • disable your Adblock and try again.

  • Code didn't work for me until I switched from Chrome to Firefox then success.

Hasn't happened before so who knows - some programmer did something somewhere.

    I ended up buying here:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/str/techmallaustralia/Flash-Memory/_…

Marginally cheaper using PSLEIGH but with FREE postage
