Ryobi 18V One+ 1.3Ah Bypass Lopper Kit (1.3AH battery and charger included) $99 @ Bunnings Warehouse

420

For some reason, this is cheaper in a kit than the tool only ($199). Battery and charger themselves are $79. I know, 1.3AH is pretty tiny, but at least the battery is light.

Note, my receipt is returning a line trimmer. Look in the sale section.

Ryobi model number is RLP1813. Bunnings I/N is 0088673, Barcode is 4892210173720.

Do you supply your own cheese too?

    • +8

Goodness me, why not mention climbing up the tree and breaking the branches with your bare hands for free instead.

      • -1

No need to climb with the one I posted, it extends to almost 3 metres… The Ryobi on the other hand, yes, you'd need to climb the tree.

        • But you still have to spend $27. My method is free.

          • @edfoo:

But you still have to spend $27

Not really. I already have one.

            • @jv: Did you get it for free? What about those who don't have one yet, can they get it for free?

              • @edfoo:

Did you get it for free?

                yes.

What about those who don't have one yet, can they get it for free?

                maybe.

@jv: Not a very helpful suggestion to us then.
                  Please suggest another better option.

    • I genuinely don’t have a use case for these because I do actually just use a rusty hand saw for the branches I need to trim. Maybe if I had a large number of them to do then I’d invest in this. But for me I probably spend more time carrying the tree cuttings to the green waste bin than I do actually sawing through branches this thick. Definitely a good deal for the product though.

  • Not much more expensive than some good quality Fiskars loppers, anyone actually have experience with it? i used a great fiskars one for 20 years but it sticks now when it closes (it's not the two handled one, it's a pole pruner actually)

Wow, even cheaper than what I was comparing it to: https://www.bunnings.com.au/fiskars-powergearx-upx82-tree-pr…

    • Could you lubricate your old ones and bring them
      Back to life?

      • +1

lubrication was working for me for a while, but over time it's been less effective. Actually probably what it needs is disassembly and a good clean then grease, as up until now I've only been using wd40

        • +4

Wd40 is a shitty lubricant and isn't what it's meant for.

          • @rbev: I should preface that the thing isn't mine, it's at my mums, and wd40 is the only thing she has. But yes.

Super limited stock. None anywhere central Melbourne

Edit- location was oddly set to warnabool lol. Thanks op. Gonna go get this tmrw

  • I already got a Ryobi pole chain saw, do I need this?

    • I have the pole chain saw too. This is easier to control (lighter) and makes cleaner cuts, especially in sappy limbs.

I think the pole chainsaw is better for thicker limbs where visibility is better.

      • +1

You are right I got it today and already removed many limbs from my neighbour's trees. Worked well it was almost fun.

  • Good luck finding stock…

    • Mine was hidden up high and not priced. My store seems to hide bargains like this.

      • +1

The price is educed because they don't sell. They don't sell because they are hidden.

2 left on the shelf at Wollongong store this morning. The price wasn't labelled as $99 but scanned as $99 at the check-out

Didn't find this at my local store but found something else that would be useful https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-2-0ah-blower-and-h…

It's cheaper than the hedge trimmer kit alone but comes with a bonus blower
