  • Better than the usual six!

    • The standard deals on ozbargain are 4x480g, so this is actually less than usual in total by about 200g, but you get more varieties to sample. Unless you mean the Xmas deal, which was the same but last year came with a bonus gift!

  • Not a good as the usual 4x480g for $59.95, but this beal offers a bit of variety. I'll give it a go. Great quality coffee.

  • Awesome, Thanks guys :) Yep more variety and we need to list as 7 x 250g to ensure the total weight includung bags etc don't exceed the 2kg threshhold otherwise Aus Post hits us with an additional $3-$5 making the deal unviable :)

We usually offer more variety leading upto Christmas so that people have the option to share bags with friends and family etc 🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄

    • Hi Manna Beans! Long-term customer, I get this deal regularly and I love it. This time I'd like to request for some beans and/or roast profile that's more suitable for filter coffee; in addition to our espresso machine, we've got a pourover which we've been using more and more, so this seems like a wise thing to do. It'd be great if possible to get a mix of espresso and filter-suitable stuff in my next order. I know you suggest to put notes in with the paypal order with special requests, but for the life of me I cannot see where exactly to do this. Could you please help? Thank you so much!

      • Hi again! I figured it out this time. It didn't occur to me to send money directly to your email through Paypal; this whole time I was trying to find a "notes" section while checking out with Paypal from your website. I've just put through an order with a note :). Sorry and thanks!

  • 1 x 250g Ethiopia Yirgacheffe

This is a superb bean for milk coffees. Like this deal for the variety, happy to slightly reduce the quantity as the compromise.

    • Thanks Willyroo ;) It's one of our higher range grade 1 heirloom Ethiopians as well! Will try to make the luckydip something really nice as well! Have a great week mate 😁😁

  • Good deal but after a few months with my grinder and machine I've realised that swapping out for different beans has a bigger effect on the quality of the pour than pretty much anything else. So you have to spend about 5-10 attempts at dialing in the grind course and time. If you have to do this every 250g then you will either a) only get a few good pours or b) just get lazy and not bother changing and never get a good pour. You'd almost be better off getting the same supermarket bean all the time. Otherwise do yourself a favour and get the same good quality bean all the time.

Happy to do 2 x 1kg of beans for the same $59.95 delivered if you prefer the same bean. Magical Unicorn is a popular blend for milk and all fresh roasted.
For anyone that wants less selection you are welcome to send funds through Paypal to [email protected] and leave notes to that effect for the packing team.

      Hope this helps 😁

Magical unicorn is indeed awesome! Bought from last 4 bag deal, and my favourite so far. The name alone is worth the buy XD

Good effort OP. I like your service. I've still got just over 500g so may come calling in a couple of weeks if that still works?

      • Can I get a Magic and Jamoccha 1kg each?

        • No problem, please leave notes to that effect when sending funds through Paypal to [email protected] as per above thread ;)

This ensures that the packing team have the info on the packing slip and can action your request. Thanks

      • I've sent the payment via paypal. Can you please confirm you have received the payment and advise the ship date?

      • Hi Mannabeans,

First off, I have been buying beans from you for years and your coffee beans has always been great!

Just to confirm what is written here, even if there is no deal going on Ozbargain, you are happy for me to send $59.95 your PayPal account nominating 4 x 500g bags? I don't usually mind what you guys send me because they are always good! :-)

    oh yeah~ order placed.

    • Thanks Andy, hope you enjoy :)

  • Still have lots of beans since the last order but I'd just like to give a shoutout to mannabeans for promptly sorting out my issue with the couriersplease non-delivery.

Also, all the single origins in this deal are fantastic and Jamocha is possibly my fave blend.

    • Thanks Toshin, appreciate your feedback and grace :) The trial with Couriers Please wasn't as we hoped so still sending Aus Post Express :) Have a great week!

  • Do you guys still have any of the Caticorn blend? My partner and I are big fans of it.

    • +1

If you use the send funds feature in Paypal it allows for notes to be left and you're welcome to leave notes to that effect in Paypal and I'll try my best to help out for you.

Don't have Caticorn roasted but may well have the individual coffees roasted that form the blend so can try to mix up for you 😁😁

Ordered from them for the first time some weeks ago, got a bag of Magical Unicorn and Unicorn:

    • Got them within a week to Melb
    • No roast date, however, can attest it was fresh. One of the bags was still vaccum sealed and I could see CO2 inflating the bag after a couple of days.
    • Could not find specific roast for espresso or filter on their website but the ones I got were more of a medium roast to medium dark and might be suitable for both depending on your taste.
    • Maginal Unicorn: Did not like it for filtered coffee, espresso was fine and milk based was better.
    • Unicorn: Enjoyed for filter.

    Will buy more.

Thanks for the feedback braussie. Glad you enjoyed the coffee and seems like a pretty fair evaluation and good assesment of roast profiles etc. We generally aim to roast medium to medium dark depending on what we think suits the coffee best and to make it suitable for most brewing methods so that we can offer these deals for the majorities preferences.

If drinking long black then generally a slightly lighter profile is required and more unique single origins can be roasted to desired roast profile through the standard web listings. Or we welcome notes to be left in Paypal for theses deals if a lighter roast is preferable etc and if we have other coffees available at the time and can assist then we will always try to help but can't promise.

With this deal the coffees will vary between medium to medium dark and perhaps more of a light medium - medium for the Ethiopian coffee. Not too light though so still suitable for most brewing methods/devices.

Coffees are generally roasted and shipped same or next day but not more than a few days old so can sometimes still be a bit too fresh on arrival. Not a problem but will get better after a few days to degas. Often during transit the air can get forced out of the bag through the one way valve but if you stand up and allow a bit m of air back in when receiving then they will degas a bit quicker. A little bit of air in the top of the bag can actually be beneficial for this process :)

Hopefully this info may useful for some people. Have a great week!

I've been ordering these beans for a long time now. Always great quality. They consistently last on the shelf if you're worried about having too much.

Thanks! Grabbed the 2 x 480g deal….just in time, on the last bag from the previous deal!

Great coffee….always fresh and every variety I’ve tried so far has been fantastic.

  • Colombia Inza Microlot is horrible for expression in my opinion, but delightful for filtered coffee.

The others I've had from this joint, I've loved.

This deal will help you find what you like.

  • I started to make pour over coffee recently. (trying to cut my milk consumption)

Bought Aldi Dark Roast, it was terrible for pour overs …

What about beans from this roaster? Should I request lighter roast?

As it is the first time I buy beans (except the aldi one)… I really don't wanna mess up…

    Thanks
