Patrón XO Cafe Tequila 750ml - $49.99 @ ALDI (Excl. QLD & SA)

650

Hi all.
Saw an early release of next weeks Aldi Cattledog with the above special. Link currently goes to their specials page but the special isn't listed yet…

Patrón XO Café is an extraordinary blend of ultra premium tequila and the natural essences of the finest coffee. Unlike most coffee liqueurs, the taste is more dry than sweet. The higher proof brings out the coffee essence magnificently. Source: DM

Edit: YMMV with a Dan's price match as they stock the 700ml bottles whereas this is 750ml - good luck!!

best price i have ever seen

pity cant drink it these days because i am doing keto LOL

    • Umm Whiskey, Rum, Tequila, Vokda are all carb free and fine for Keto… What are you talking about

      • +1

Nope - Patron XO has a decent whack of Carbs in it, 11g per serve

        • Besides random internet comments, are there any facts to back this up?

          • +1

            @ryang: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/nutrition-facts-calories/patron...

If you’ve ever had cafe patron you’ll know it’s quite sweet and has sugar in it. Sugar = carbs which kills your ketosis. Generally it’s under 30g of carbs you need to stay under per day. A couple of shots of this and you are going to ruin the tiny amount of carbs you are allowed, much better things to have your speck of carbs than sweet tequila.

            • @TightTerry: And that's literally the only source I can find as well. A shot is 30ml, a few less grams. They're saying it's 11g sugar per shot… Seems high. Almost half sugar and you'd expect it to be a lot thicker as well.

            • +1

              @TightTerry: Gin ;-)

      • +3

It’s prob the sugar that kills it for keto

      • +2

Umm alcohol is functionally similar to sugar.

    • +8

      Simples. Cancel Keto.

    • +1

Why downvote lol? Good luck on keto.

Not SA…SA Aldi don't sell liquor yet

    • What’s the story here, who’s lobbying against it?

      • +3

Coles and Woolworths. They are more than happy how current liquor licences fill their pockets

    • Neither do QLD aldi's

  • +1

    Aldi Cattledog

    Is that you Dad?

  • I don't see SA listed :(

    • It would be surprising if they did since aldi doesn't sell alcohol in SA

  • Nor QLD as well, don't sell liquor here.

  • Woah, awesome.

Time for my quarterly pilgrimage to an Aldi with a liquor license.

  • It's at dans in Sydney now. Mascot Liquor sale.

  • This is awesome. Could someone post this again in 9 days time so I don't forget? Thanks!

    • Under the deal post there's a 'Reminder' button that will do just that for you

      • He's throwing shade at the people reposting the November Macca's deals

        • Ah right, in that case I'll make sure I personally repost this myself in 9 days.

Will even use the reminder button on this original deal to remind me! :)

  • Just to confirm that I got my hands on a copy of the upcoming catalogue for Sydney metro and it also has the same deal

  • Excellent price. Dan's sells at closer to $90. I picked up a few bottles at Costco for $52 recently because the price was too good to resist

  • Already this price at Dan's

    • For 700ml obv

  • Went into Aldi in Melbourne today and picked up a bottle. Looks like this deal is indeed nationwide.

  • I opened my box today and found that a section of frosted glass on one side of the bottle seems to have been scratched or etched off.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know whether it's normal for the bottle to look like this?

    • Did a bit of searching and found that the etched area seems to be where the batch details would normally be printed onto the glass.

Not sure why it would need to be etched/scratched off. The only thing I can think of is that it could be related to these bottles not originally being intended for Australia, but that's just speculation on my part
