My Adventure with eBay Store Onemillion Re: "Creality Ender-3 for $90"

https://imgur.com/a/TemFqcg

I hope this doesn't count as duplicate thread. Posting my chat with eBay seller onemillion for a bit of a laugh. Honestly at this stage I doubt I will be receiving my product but I just want to make sure I'm wasting as much of the sellers time given the lies they have told everyone.

I got onboard with everyone else with the $90 Ender 3 deal posted here —> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/494928 . But unlike everyone I didn't receive any message saying some BS answer about a dodgy batch or whatever so I waited until the estimated delivery date before asking seller where my item is.

Seller claims they have sent it but can't produce any tracking or shipping information or proof and offers refund. Then claims the item is lost and offers refund. Then claims faulty batch and offers refund (or wait 40 days for next batch, others have pointed out this is to wait out the eBay/PayPal protection). Then seller at some point offers refund and says I can pay them back if the item that was "shipped" does actually arrive.

I pointed out if it's a faulty batch why are they selling the same item in a different listing. (8 available as of 20/11/2019 3pm https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Creality-Ender-3-3D-Printer-Offi…)

Attached my conversation. Numbered for reading order since eBay doesn't thread the messages: https://imgur.com/a/TemFqcg

Just like what was said in the original thread, if seller had just been upfront and said price error most people would have been understanding and accepting. The lies and deceit are what make it unacceptable.

Should I drag it out or just file dispute, leave negative feedback and take refund?

TLDR: eBay seller lies that they have shipped product when they haven't. Repeatedly pushes refunds instead of shipping product. Says that promised batch is faulty even though still selling Ender 3 at full original price in separate ebay listing

Leave negative feedback, when i did they started pleading for me to remove it, was hilarious.

  • I wouldn't buy anything from that seller with their 97.5% positive feedback, that's bad feedback.

If you can open an INR case with Ebay and leave neg feedback with a short, to the point, comment.

  • Meh, to be honest the deal seemed too good to be true. When pricing errors happen you take on the risk of whether the seller will honour the pricing or not. This time you lost out. Too bad for you but you get your money back so just move on.

    • This post isn't about getting the money back, and OP sounds like they were fully aware that they're likely not to receive the item.

The post is about the seller lying continuously, and OP wasting the sellers time on purpose to prevent issues like this occurring.

It could have been a price error, a temporary cash grab, a ratings increase (most people would accept seller's response and give a + review for a quick refund), or perhaps hoping some people will forget and they pocket the money / delaying until past price protection, etc etc.

      • Okay. So take the refund, leave a negative review and move on.

      • This is it here. I hadn't responded to them for a few days just to see what they would do, if it was an honest business they'd be chasing you up about it. A couple days went by and didn't hear so much a peep from them. If left alone they would have 100% kept the money.

        Slimy.

I just got this from them for opening an item not received dispute:

Sorry for that.the item we sent to you with logistics company ,it usually takes 2-6 workdays to your place,it is abnormal thing that you still do not receive the item . We contacted with the shipping company to check the parcel ,but there is no information about it.we do not know if it is lost . How about we refund you first ? then you pay us back once you receive it .is that ok?we apologize for this situation.hope you understand, thanks. hope you do not leave us any feedback ,negative or neutral if you do not want to leave us positive feedback with all more than 4 stars,we will do more accurate in the future.thanks. if you agree,we will refund you in 2 workdays. or your idea?please advise, thanks. Waiting for your reply to follow up. Could you close the case for us ,it does harm to us,thank you. Sincerely Yours

Which is a complete lie. I was told the same line as everyone else about it not being sent due to quality issues or whatever.

Will be getting a refund then leaving negative feedback.

    • That's what I got as well…

Anyone have some ideas on making it difficult for the seller.

All I want is that they own up and say sorry price error how about a refund. To which we can all just say that sucks but fine moving on.

Maybe they think they've gone too far to say anything but this BS lie.

      • Get your refund first.
Then leave negative feedback. That’s what hurts them the most.

  • I got the original email begging me to remove the negative, and I replied with a solid "no" and said that I was going to report them (although I didn't know to whom). Just this minute, I've received this second email from them:

    Dear friend :

Sorry for all the troubles for you.

We really really have realized our fault

Please forgive us,really really need your forgive us.

Nobody was born without mistake.and It is very difficult to make living now. Our small shop needs your support. I hope you can give me a chance to compensate you. We recommend a full refund and have already refund you. Just beg me to modify your rating for us to a positive one with all over 4 stars. If my rating is too low our boss will fire me.so we beg you.
Or could you please help us contact ebay to remove it for us?

Waiting for your reply to follow up.

    Best regards
    Shirley

I replied that I will not change the rating unless they ship me the 3D printer at the original price.

    • I got the exact same message :) Also ensuring that they have a negative feedback
