      You reckon they unto me

  • On your laptop, try opening a cmd prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns"

    • Successfully flushed dns etc… still not fixed.

  • IT deemed it non-conducive to work productivity

use a vpn or dns or something

  • Your work proxy is blocking ozbargain.

    • Why is working on my work and personal mobile? Both are connected to Wi-Fi same as laptop.

      • Your mobile probably is using different settings/software and may not be subject to the proxy, or you have a vpn or a seperate proxy installed that circumvents your work proxy.

Bastards! There goes my fun out the door

          • @alz: is your internet setting on laptop disabled.
If no, you probably can change the proxy, or remove temporarily while accessing OZB

Possibly your phone is hitting both WiFi and Mobile networks simultaneously (this is applicable to both iOS and Android) and pulling OzB through the mobile network?

They blocked it, I don't think circumventing it is going to go down well

      Working fine on mobile.

  • Problem solved. Ditched Chrome and now using IE (sucks balls)

    Thanks all for your feedback!

@Looney: Good man, in it now. Mucho Better

            • @alz: I work in web development and I just hope Microsoft kill IE ASAP.
But corporate and govts are using it. Horrendous!

              • @Looney: Any idea why it OzB wouldn't work on OP's Chrome browser but works on Edge?

    • Might be defaulting to non https - Try typing in the full address manually.(https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/498244)

Also navigate to OBZ on Chrome and try hitting F12 then right clicking on the refresh button and selecting Empty cache and hard reload
