Good to see some competition where quality branded parts are used :)

  • The link says the cpu is an i5-8500.

    • +1

      Typo,

All fixed. Speeds and core count is still the same.

      Thanks for pointing it out.

  • "Windows 10 Free Infinite Trial"… is that a tricky way of saying Windows 10 Not Activated?

Also could you let us know what optimizations you make when you say "optimized and ready for gaming"?

    • +11

      Hi Rictzer,

That is correct with Windows 10, it will appear unactivated but we do offer an activation upgrade.

The optimizations that are undertaken to get the maximum performance out of your PC are the following:

DDR4 set to XMP 2.0 and Speeds optimized to the maximum supported by the motherboard.

      Rapid storage is turned on.

Optimization software via the BIOS is run,

PC is stressed tested before being reset to "factory default" (windows region selector and setup) before being shipped,

Any required updates to the BIOS are completed before shipment.

      Kind Regards

        Nice, thanks for your transparency

Thought this was a tech fast as for a sec lol

That's pretty much a compliment here! They're pretty nuch unrivalled in value.

    • LOL

  • Any chance for a Ryzen 3 or Threadripper system with a 2080 Super? Similar to this https://techfast.com.au/products/amd-ryzen-threadripper-1950…

    • +2

      Hi Winston,

As 1950X is EOL (end of life) we can either substitute it with a 1920X or 2nd Gen thread ripper.

We currently have 1 X399 board in stock that we would be happy to use for your order.

As X399 is EOL due to the new socket for threadripper, boards are limited in supply.

We would assume techfast is picking this stock up cheaply judging from our supplier's price movements with their remaining X399 stock including processors.

We can most certainly though do the build for you with a 2080 super with up to 128GB DDR4 and as much storage as you need (we're also happy to put it into your desired RAID configuration if multiple drives are required) or an as new 2080TI at around $1400 if the slight price jump is affordable.

We can also put it in your desired case (if stock exists) and customize it to your needs.

Feel free to message us directly via Ozbargain or email us at [email protected] if you would like to talk further.

As for Ryzen we're working on organizing a set of builds, we're happy to consider Ryzen 3.

If anyone else is interested in the above configuration feel free to contact us.

We can also do custom builds with guaranteed delivery before Christmas.

      Kind Regards

      OP

      • Thanks for the reply. I'll shoot you guys an email once I've confirmed what parts I want.

      • i'm keen on a ryzen 3600 and a 2080s build if u put it together. i wasn't happy about techfast putting in a bronze psu

        • +1

          Hi Medicare,

We're working with our supply chain to obtain more competitive pricing on Ryzen CPUs and 2080s.

As some of our competitors get their stock from overseas, we can't match the models they use like the 3500X as they're not available in Australia. We're also working on finding non blower 2080 Super models at competitive prices to compete with our competitors,

Hopefully in the coming months you guys should see one,

Shame I missed the Inwin Fans Deal, any chance it may pop up again soon? In need of some fans :(

Messaged regarding the deal as we still have some leftover stock

      OP

I thought it was a techfast at first glance as well
I would see that as a compliment around here also :)

    • Thank you Smokey,

      OP

  • Hi cgb

Any chance you guys do itx gaming builds?

    • +1

      Hi Kzsv,

We don't currently do ITX builds though have been looking into doing it,

We're still looking for the right case to do it in so any comments on what case you would like to see us use, please comment.

We can't use the InWin Chopin as it doesn't support a GPU (unless there's demand for GPU less ITX builds).

      OP

      • seconded for mini itx build.

  • Can you possibly do deal with either Ryzen 5 2600/3600 with B450 and RX590?

    • Hi Pure,

We're currently working on a B450 Ryzen Build,

We have placed an order for the motherboards but are still deciding on GPU and processors,

If people would like to see RX590s and 3600s we can do this but we are unsure as our competitor's price will be lower as they use brands like Biostar or no names (OEM).

We have access to Biostar in our supply chain but are unsure if consumers want their products in our builds.

If you guys show that you would like that,

      We can do it.

      OP

      • -1

If competition are using Biostar as standard - You could perhaps default to whatever's next up.. MSI boards?

        • +1

We're currently working on sourcing RX570s and RX590s for our next drop,

We're looking at using Gigabyte B450 or AsRock Steel Legend b450 as it has an addressable RGB Header which lets us add some RGB Goodness (InWin Fans Kits etc) to builds to make them not look like a pc from 2005.

We're also looking into whether to include Wi-Fi motherboards instead of using Wi-Fi cards and offering it as an upgrade.

As for CPUs, our competitors are currently using CPUs that aren't in the Australian Market showing that it isn't Australian stock.

We have been forced to begin looking to source Ryzen CPUs ourselves from overseas if we want to compete but we're trying our best to keep our business as Australian as possible.

If it wasn't for a couple of people we wouldn't be able to bring you this deal today and we thank everyone who has supported us so far, as a small business in a pond with big fish we couldn't have gotten so far without you.

Also, a big thank you to one or two of our suppliers for believing in us and helping us grow, it hasn't been the easiest journey to get to where we are.

          OP

    These builds look amazing!! Will there be any high end builds? 3700x + 2070 super, 2080 super/2080ti or I7 9700k + 2070 super, 2080 super/2080ti?

    • Interested in this too

    • Hi Krishy,

We're working with a supplier on a 2080TI drop with Ryzen CPUs or intel 9700Ks or 9900Ks,

If you could tell us what your preferred storage is and what case you guys would like to see this build in,

It might be coming to the market early January

      OP

      • +3

I'm not too educated in cases but for storage id go with SSD's

      • Something that has good air flow and looks stylish , with upgrade for the future if need be, would be my best suggestion.

  • +1

I see that the case has a 250mm gpu clearance but the asus strix 1080 is 294mm long, how does it fit in there? Also is there anyway to custom order a different case, not really liking the one in the build.

    • Hi there,

We just replied to an email regarding the case, you're able to swap it.

The matrexx 30 has a small metal tab that blocks this clearance,

It's very thin metal so can be easily pushed out of the way allowing for a 2 slots card of up to around 350mm to be placed into the case.

      OP

  • Looking to purchase my 12 year old son his first gaming computer, he plays fort nite a lot and this will be the main purpose of the computer. Would like a system that can be upgraded if required down the track………after recommendations. budget is around the valve of this system.

    • +2

      H Kiwimex,

You probably want someone else's opinion other than the sales reps, but this PC will perform great for that use.

All our systems are upgradable as we use "off the shelf parts", parts that anyone can get hold of and are compatible with parts currently on the market.

We don't use OEM parts, only branded and would be happy to assist with upgrading the PC in the future if you so desired to after owning it for a period of time.

If you would like to talk more about this deal or other options we are always open to chat via Ozbargain message or our email, [email protected]

      OP

  • is this available for pick up

      OP

      • Can you Pm me the address and would it be available by sauturday

        • Hi Family,

You'll have to PM us as you've disabled the ability of us private messaging you

          OP

  • +1

I imagine this deal maybe getting through a bit of retro stock (shockingly good deals from techfast catching them doing it :p )
but the one place I would look for improvement is moving up to atleast an M.2 mb regardless of M.2 ssd added ( sata do just fine)

intel upgradability is a bit up in the air atm, and probably more relevant with amd systems right now
that said, this machine is going to scream along with games like fortnite with either GPU, and keep going for some years into the future
If better branded components are important to you, these guy's are hitting the right nerve

  • I can't select the RX 5700 XT 8GB MECH OC option, I guess it's out of stock now

    • Hi there,

We now have 1 more back in stock,

      Kind Regards
