    most if not all of these are already available for free on librivox.org, which is an awesome non-profit whose aim is to make all books in the public domain freely available as audiobooks. Some excellent volunteer readers are a part of it. The librivox android app is awesome in my opinion too - easy to search, read reviews, search for readers /authors you like, download to listen offline etc.

    Are GooglePlay audio books similar to Audible? By that I mean they are DRMed and can only be listening to using a specific software program?

    I like owning DRMfree media which you can play on any device using any software. I guess that is too much to ask when it comes to Audiobooks.

    Not sure if they'll be any good though. Strelbytskyy Multimedia Publishing is a company based out of Russia that aims to make money with republishing out of copyright works as cheaply as possible to game amazon and be the first results (because everyone buys the cheapest one). No idea if their audio work is any good but I doubt it. On the other hand you can get Tom Sawyer read by William Dufris which is probably really worth listening to.
