      Different kind of experience. If you're mostly into FIFA and multiplayer shooters, XBONEs are the way to go. Community is more active there. If you're into single player stuff, PS4 exclusives are the way to go.

        Thanks, I'll check it out. It was a legit question, because I own an Xbox One and play one or two games out of the hundreds I've received on my Games with Gold subscription — 99% of them are crap. Not interested in sports or multiplayer shooters, so sounds like a PS4 might make more sense.

          Yeah PS4 is geared more towards those who've probably grown up playing a lot of 'Japanese-style' games from JRPGs (Final Fantasy, Shin MegaTen, etc), Horror (Resident Evil, Silent Hill), adventure games (Devil May Cry, Crash Bandicoot), and platformers (Okami). Lots of the PS4 exclusives retain that kind of vibe but it's not for everyone especially those who grew up in the multiplayer era. XBONEs are mostly about the HALOs, CODs, Titanfall and Gears Of War kind of games.

    I wonder if I can buy the PSVR mega pack and return some of the games. I remember last year someone bought PSVR and refunded some of the games since the games were shown on the receipt separately.

      I don't think so. The games are via a PSN code and from memory there was only one code for all of the games.

    The PS4 slim console at $249 is a good price. About a month ago I sold my boxed slim console (no games) on ebay for $272. Always keep the box and all the baggies etc if you plan to one day sell it after your use :-)

      The GB storage is used to install games and updates.
      Yes, HDMI is all you need.
      Yes, best deal.
      You dont need the Pro.

          4K gaming.

          If you don't have a 4K TV it's hardly worth it. Particularly if you're only getting into gaming now so late in the generation.

      The games are fully installed off the disc before you can play them. You can also download games + updates + extra content for games if you connect your PS4 online.

      PS4 pro is the most powerful one. PS4 slim is the same power as the normal PS4.

          1tb is double the storage of 500gb. Depends how many games you want to install. Pro is more powerful but costs more so it's up to you if you want to play some games with more performance or just stick to regular base model and save money.

              @shahrah: Pro has more powerful hardware so it can run certain Pro compatible games in higher resolution or with less lag than the regular PS4, more powerful processor and graphics.

      I picked up the PS4 Pro from Prime Day last year.
      Whilst it was a "Fortnite" version, it was just a cardboard cover over the top of the regular PS4 box. I assume this version would be the same.

      Games are region free on PS4, DVDs & BluRays are region locked. Unfortunately PS4 Pro doesn't play UHD bluray since they are region free.

    I bought the PS4 Pro Fortnight deal at $399 through the last Amazon deal a few months ago.

    The PS4 Pro WON'T play 4K movies from blu-ray discs. This was half the reason I bought it, due to foolishly thinking that if the old XB1S plays 4K movie discs, then surely the PRO would too.

    I'm now saving up for an XB1X.
