Delter Coffee Press Brew Bundle $94.95 (Was $113.80) & Free Delivery @ Rebel Alliance Roasters

50

Hey OzBargainers, I have the amazing Delter Coffee Press in a brew bundle on sale - would make a pretty awesome Xmas gift or the perfect addition to any serious brewers repertoire!

Normally $113.80 for this bundle, currently down to $94.95!

The Delter Coffee Press is revolutionary, the unique jet-seal system allows the brew water and coffee grounds to be separated right up until the time of extraction. This results in more clarity and less bitterness in the cup.

In the bundle you will get:

  • 1 x Delter Coffee Press with 100 paper filters (reg price: $39.90)
  • 1 x Rhinowares hand grinder (reg price: $59.90)
  • 1 x 250g fresh roasted bag of beans: Guatemala El Boqueron (reg price: $14.00)
  • 1 x Travel case

This really is an epic manual brewing device, bundled with a seriously good grinder and stunning coffee.

And because the order would be above $60 then you get the added bonus of free shipping Australia wide.

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, shipping is standard shipping. The sale ends 31/12/2019.

Cheers,

Scott

  • I use aeropress frequently.
can you compare the aeropress experience to this delter machine.
pro's and con's for each - what would i see as an advantage if i tried the delter?

    • +2

Hi richox, the Delter is not an immersion brewer so you are going to get a much cleaner cup than the AeroPress. As such you are also much less likely to experience any bitterness in the cup given you are only applying brew water to the coffee when you extract.

The injection system also lets you do cool stuff Le pre-infuse the coffee grounds (add a small amount water to the coffee before properly extracting) and lets you set the amount of time the extraction will take.

One other big bonus is the larger water reservoir, 400ml means you basically brew for two people.

Only downside I have come across is the Delter takes a little longer to clean than the AeroPress but is still very simple to clean.

It’s a different beast to the AeroPress, I would recommend having both but then I am also a bit of coffee gear nut!

      Cheers,
      Scott

      • Thanks Scott, one other thing i forgot to ask - are aeropress filters compatible with the delter filters (physical size and filtration level), and can i use my existing abel brewing S/S aeropress filters with the delter do you think?

        • +3

I've used an Aeropress for close to 8 years I guess, and bought a Delter as soon as I learned about it (maybe 6 months ago?). Anyway, I much prefer the Delter, it seems to get a smoother cup.

And yes it uses the same filters as Aeropress. I think you're best off grinding 1-2 settings coarser than the Aeropress though, as I feel like the additional pressure the Delter has can force the grind through if you're doing an Espresso grind…

          • @steinmeister: Nice sounds good. I will give it a try

            • @richox: steinmeister summed it up perfectly!

Delter is vastly different from AeroPress, definitely reminds more of espresso based brewing with a nice touch of filter-like cup results.

And, yes, conveniently the AeroPress filters fit nicely with the Delter.

              Cheers,
              Scott

  • Hey Scott, both social media links on your website are broken? Also do you sell the delter press separately?

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up @Frameballs I have updated the links for the socials.

I can sell the Delter individually, it would be $39.90 + $10 flat rate shipping (unless you spend more than $60, shipping is then free).

Will add the individual Delter to the brew gear catalogue later today, if you want to grab one then add your OzBargain ID to the comments of the order and I will throw you a little bonus for pointing out the bug with the social media links ;-)

      Cheers,
      Scott

      • Awesome i would be interested, another current aeropress user

        • I have added the Delter individually to the catalogue now :-)

          Cheers,
          Scott

  • Hey Scott - ordered a set tonight. Any advice on brewing with these beans? Go with the normal delter instructions? (Coffee noob here)

    • Thanks for the order MrDixit!

With the Guatemala I have been using 11g of grounds (close to espresso grind size), pre-infuse for 30 seconds, then brew 200ml over 1min:45sec.

      Happy experimenting :-)

      Cheers,
      Scott

Thanks heaps Scott, will give it a spin.

PS thanks also for the customer service by email - good to know exactly when my order is being fulfilled, what with me running out of coffee :(

        • No problems, and thanks again for your order!

The running out of coffee thing isn’t so good though, <shamelessplug> I hear coffee subscriptions are the perfect resolution to that kind of problem </shamelessplug >

          Cheers,
          Scott
