  • These are sold regularly, can anyone vouch for these?

Do they last and cook well?

    Thanks!

Yes, I've had one quite a while. Works well. Heats quickly. Small footprint. I put both the inner and outer baskets into the dishwasher without issue.

      I'd buy again.

  • Just had chicken wings made in a Air Fryer at a friends house, they came out so freaken good. Just not sure if 3L is big enough. I know my mate has a small air fryer and had to make like 3 or 4 batches of wings, was quiet a pain in the ass.

Chicken wings in a regular fan forced oven also come out perfect.

Air Fryers are just a small fan forced oven.

        • this ^ . They advertise them as a magical deepfryer that doesnt need oil but they are just tiny fan forced ovens. They just basically have a negligible preheat time and smaller cavity (so save electricity and time)

      • Yep can vouch for this, if your oven is decent and cooked on wire.
But the Air Fryer does really give them a crispier texture.

Started in the air fryer, but too small for how much fried chicken I cook.
Air Fryer is still great for Hot Chips (frozen or home made), quickly heating pies ect..

  • I recon that people pay a little bit extra and get the Phillips xxl as it’s a quality machine I use mine every second day the best in the market imo

A little extra? You mean like 340 bucks extra? Yes its a little extra.

Any thoughts on the food sealer they have?

    • +2

      It doesn't fry…

      • Do you fry?

        • +2

No, but neither do I seal…

  • Anyone know if the upright freezer is the kind with the cooling coils built into the shelves?

  • KMart have a 3.2L Air Fryer which is $69 all the time. They also have a 5.3L one for $89. I have both and can vouch that they work every bit as well as the Philips ones, having had two of them previously, and are easier to clean. Will never pay that much again.

    • Just be aware they only have a 12 month warranty, the Aldi one is 3 years.

      • +1

The kmart one is as ugly AF (IMHO) , but functionally theyd work as well as each other.

$69 is a pretty standard price, but I bought the aldi one because it doesn't look cheap, and is one of the most compact on the market.

    • I'm interested in the Kmart one. Can you provide some experience on how much the two sizes can fit as I don't know what's best for my use? Say in the context of chicken wings and frozen chips? They're probably my most frequent uses.

  • Looking at getting the fridge, anyone purchased a fridge from ALDI before?

  • My Aldi/Ambiano 3L Air Fryer died 4months ago (it looks identical to the OP, but all black). It had 2 months left in the 2year warranty period.
The warranty process was good, I received an authorisation number via email, brought the faulty unit back to my local Aldi and got a full refund.

TMI but I bought another Aldi air fryer, bigger version with dehydrator function, working well so far.

    • "TMI but I bought another Aldi air fryer, bigger version with dehydrator function, working well so far."
So is this the one that OP has posted or was it a different one that had dehydrator function?

      TIA

  • Does anyone brew beer? What about the fridges (upright vs chest) for temp controlled fermentation? Wonder how it would fit the vats…
