Multiple Listings on eBay

often i see identical items with multiple listing for exactly the same price. makes me wonder if there really is a difference between the items. if not, why do they do this? its confusing to buyers.

  • Either competing sellers or if it's the same seller then to have multiple search results come up. Higher chance of getting a sale. They can also have different start/end times and there's a limit of number of items for sale per listing on eBay. So if you have a container load of cheap Chinese tat then need multiple listings.

    • yes its same seller. i see its all about sale chance, thanks.

    • A store holder does not have a limited number of items per listing. eBay does have a rule that you are not allowed to have an identical listing but this can be overcome by changing one small detail in the listing heading. Having said that they do not police the rule very often, and in the case of eBay China I don't think they have even heard of the rule.
