Even if you plan on only using game pass, I would still get the S over the All Digital model.

100% agree. Digital games have a premium of 30% extra on top of Physical here. If you buy three games, you will have made up the extra money you spent, and that is not including the benefit of being able to utilise 4K DVD's.

      • Please stop with the 30% premium. Again. That's a baseless number.

Many, including myself value the many benefits of digital libraries.

I don't buy digital games when they cost more. I buy them when they cost less, and this time of the year is great for that.

        • +1

It's not a baseless number at all. Games that come out on release are literally 30% more expensive. $99 on release and $69 for physical. That is literally 30%. It's wonderful that you're willing to wait 12 months after a game comes out before getting it, but the numbers don't lie, the vast majority of sales of games happen in its first month. So, by getting a console with a disk drive, they have the option of both instead of being forced to play a game well after release.

@ONEMariachi: Oh seriously, stop with the absolute rubbish.

I just bought NBA 2K20 last week digitally for around $45…. it's been out a couple months… Hardly have to wait long…. often Sony discounts their exclusives quite quickly too.

I also get cashback and Microsoft Rewards on ALL digital purchases I make.

With the big influx of games in the Sept-Nov period, they are always on sale during Black Friday sales digitally.

            • +1

@scuderiarmani: NBA 2k20 is garbage that's why it is so cheap so quick lol. Nice try champ

              • -1

@ONEMariachi: Oh that's flawless logic…. if you don't like the game, it doesn't count. I suppose EVERY game on the Black Friday sale under 12 months old is rubbish too?

Nice try sprouting the same rubbish again and being caught out, again.

                • +2

@scuderiarmani: lol, nah mate, you're sprouting rubbish, and thinking it is some sort of objective fact. It's fine you like digital, but no one gives a shit about your boring inane opinions.

            • @scuderiarmani:

I just bought NBA 2K20 last week digitally for around $45…. it's been out a couple months…

So proved him right. Premium price on launch and having to wait months before price comes down.

I don't know anyone who values digital. Collectors too for obvious reason. I play the game and sell it and usually recoup all if not almost all my money. On to the next game.

I am scratching my head trying to figure out obvious benefits of digital.

              • -1

                @cute as duck: He said 12 months…. Not 2. Hardly a wait….

Given you proved you can't read already why should I bother telling you the benefits many have listed here?

I don't know anyone who cares about physical for PC? Guess where Consoles will be soon enough? Noticed EB games have a fraction of wall space for games now?

Why are you being so rude to everyone? Fair enough you have your opinions but don't make it personal. Heck I didn't even downvote you.

                  Good night and calm down.

@cute as duck: Selective quoting… Why not quote this?

'It's wonderful that you're willing to wait 12 months after a game comes out before getting it,'

No. I waited 2 months. I never wait 12 for a good digital price.

    • +1

Yup, physical pretty much always cheaper than digital and you can sell it afterwards

      • +2

the only advantages of digital are it saves u changing discs, can gave access to your library when u travel and u can have 2. players playing your digital titles at a time if you have another xbox

        • +1

I primarily buy digital for the 2 players at once. I only ever buy on special which is usually cheaper or same price as the hard copy.

2x kids with a console each makes it the cheapest way. Still like the security of a disc console. Watching movies, ability for disc games if you can grab bargains etc.

        • -1

And 2 simultaneously is a huge plus for many.

        • Can't you have two players playing from the same box? So you need another one physically for a two-player game? That sux.

          • +1

@craving: No…. you can have two machines playing the same game purchased once digitally…. so effectively receiving 2 copies of the game. Which someone will still neg me here for because reasons….

  • Is it safe to assume the One s non-digital is the
    1Tb version?

  • +2

    Horizon 3 instead of 4? That's disappointing. I guess 4 is on gamepass but 3 isn't.

  • +6

Still no regular 1TB Xbox one S for $200.

    • You can sell Fallen Jedi for probably $50.

      Haven't had $199 in a long time.

  • -7

I'm an Xbox controller fanboi but they really needs some decent exclusives. Otherwise, what's the point of playing cross platform games on the lesser console

    • If you don't want a lesser console you would be looking at the Xbox One X. This is a cheaper console to play the same games.

      I don't see how that's a bad thing.

    • I meant the xbox one s is the lesser console compared to the ps4 slim.

      • Why ya gotta be like dis tho?…O.o
        jonathonsunshine..

        more like,

  • With the One S (non-digital) deal, it looks like you have a choice of Star Wars Fallen Jedi or Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions

    Where’s the Xbox 1X deals

  • Just curious does anyone know whether these deals are in store only or online as well? Looking to get the XBox One S with Star Wars.

    Available now.

They are including the Deluxe edition (Star Wars game) in these bundles which is worth significantly more. Digital only.

    • "Green Thursday". They got creative there

    • which is worth significantly more

      "cost more"

  • Amazon have matched for the Xbox one s 1TB.

  • Is there a USB port with the 1TB all digital console, can't you connect an external USB drive?

    • Of course there is. No issues connecting more storage.
