I believe so. Pretty sure Ray-Ban is rich enough to maintain ray-ban.com domain as their own website.

    • It is. Certificate comment below, plus the cashback and qantas mall apps both recognise it.

    • Thanks.

  • Great find OP good price and range, new summer shades sorted 👍

  • thanks, I bought two pairs for my kids. Paid $45 each which is not much more expensive than no name junk they sell at the shops.

  • can we insert prescription into these lenses?

    • All my Ray-Bans are prescription, so it’s technically possible. But I’ve never tried to get it done after-purchase… the optometrist may not want to take on that work without making money from the frames.

In any case, with health insurance, I can get one pair of sunglasses every year anyway with almost no out of pocket expense.

      • i've had prescription lenses done at OPSM where i supplied my own frames.

You seem to have a premium extras cover. With basic extras, you can hardly get any choices for free sunglasses/ glasses.

    • You can but based off my conversations with OPSM/Specsavers, it is very expensive.

TBH, I get wayyyyyyyy better ray ban deals from my friends that stage me in their Facebook posts….. 😉

some people look good when they wear their ray bans but the moment they took em off

      take bro, take.

Thanks, treated myself to a new pair for summer. Shopback 6% also

  • Buy at your own risk. I can't find mention of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1067. Even if genuine, they may not (or may) conform to the standard.

Is it still made in Italy or China?

    • Italy

    • Have to look into Italy laws on what it really means "Made in Italy".

Switzerland has a law something like "if the product is finished in Switzerland, it is "Made in Switzerland".
This way they can manufacture the watch in China, ship it to Switzerland, do the "Made in Switzerland" engraving there and claim it's a premium, high-quality watch sold at a huge price to unsuspecting victims customers!

      • Same in Italy, same in Australia!
        Globalization

      • +1

"Made in Italy" - think it means same as the Made in Switzerland

Some brands have "100% made in Italy" which means that the parts of the product are made in Italy, and assembled in Italy.

Happens the same for furniture, high-end bikes, cars, etc.

        Some info here and here

      • Looks like they made these in Italy and shipped to China, just got a DHL express shipment notification from “ DONGGUAN CITY CHINA”

  • Thanks OP. Couldn't find the design I'm after on sale.

  • +1

Worth noting that it says "todays deals", so good chance different designs may go on sale tomorrow and Friday

  • If only the original Wayfarer was on sale..

Looks like most of the site is 20% off. I went and looked at different glasses and pretty much all the polarised are discounted.

Instead of buying plastic crap designed to last 6 months, why not buy sunglasses made from metal and glass, with a lifetime warranty, from Matthew Painter.

    • +4

      Who?

    • +2

Is he the younger brother of William Painter?

      • I hate seeing that guy's ads on Youtube after I was doing research for a pair.

        Am keeping reporting as Repetitive

    • +2

seriously, how much do you get paid to sockpuppet for them?

  • It says 50% off for some of the glasses in that list but the first one "Justin" isn't 50% off.

    • Might be due to the style/colour?

    • +1

well it does say Enjoy Ray-Ban promo sunglasses with up to 50% off on the website

  • +2

Nice! Got the brown polarised aviators for 127

  • +1

Super and thanks. Also seems very legit. Everything is marked Ray Ban from PayPal. Can't seem to fault it at this stage. Bought a pair at 50% off…

  • For someone interested in trying them out first, ts the same price at sunglasshut - I compared just one model :

    https://www.ray-ban.com/australia/sunglasses/RB4105%20UNISEX…
    and
    https://www.sunglasshut.com/au/ray-ban/rb4105-805289154594
$220. I reckon a B&M shop might be easier to deal with in case of returns/warranty claims etc ?

    • Sunglass hut do have their Black Friday sale on as well. Better to try them on in store and get it there if possible. Also they have a 90 day return option. They also have some pairs at 50% off, but suspect they are display ones. Do you actually get the case with the glasses from Raybans or is it extra?

      • +1

I have bought more than a few ray bans and pradas. Got a case everytime.

  • +1

I expected made in Italy but shipping info says that comes from Guangdong, China
