EB Games - Click and Collect

Has anyone ordered any new and not preowned games with click and collect from Eb games? If so, when you go and get the games are they sealed and brand new??

Yea they’ll be brand new sealed but no one in their right mind buys new games from ebgames. They’re generally at or above RRP price while other retailers are usually cheaper. Exceptions apply but make sure you shop around and as a minimum cross-check JB Hi-Fi and Amazon.

The last time I got a Brand New game from EB was when they had $39 for Fallout4 and Doom4 back in 2016.

edit: actually I think I did it again, in 2018 with a 1-day early discount for Uncharted4 Lost Legacy DLC which also came with a coupon for a free game (I think it was Spyro or something)

Code was for Jak and Daxter. I did the same!

I buy it full price for the points on Coles/28D then just claim it close to the end claim date. Earn those carrots!

    sealed? usually not

  • I sometimes ask for a sealed copy of a game when I buy one from EB or JB, they don't seem to mind. It's nicer if it's for a gift or something.

    • Same here.

  • I read somewhere or heard, or I don't remember where this information (which could be legit or not legit) comes from, but if you're looking for Switch games I was told they're not sealed in Aus, so if you get a sealed one its from overseas or from Amazon because they're putting them in plastic wrap before they send it. But I could be wrong lol.

    • My copies for Pokemon Sword & Shield were sealed when I picked it up from EB Games on release date.

    • I got Mario Kart 8 sealed from Catch (AUS copy)

  • I've C&C multiple times at EB Games for Pre-Order Games (I'm a sucker for pre-order bonus/exclusive).

It depends on the game. Most new released should still sealed (assuming they have an abundance of stock).

The only reason they aren't sealed are if they were on displayed in-store, therefore the Disc/Cartridge has to be taken out.

  • Usually sealed as mine was sealed and thrown in a bag with a receipt.

  • They're only sealed if they have multiple copies instore.

If youre buying an obscure game, chances are, it wont be sealed.

A title that is popular and just released, likely sealed.
