If you aren't hooked up on the well marketed Dyson brand, consider a Vax Air Blade 2 Max. 40v, brushless motor and can be had for about $320 on sale (less with voichers etc). Equivalent to a v10 Absolute at a 1/3 of the price.
Does this have a good window crevice tool? What is battery life like?
Is the Origin the same as the Animal in the v8 range?

"I would be happy to assist!
The V8 Origin and the V8 Animal are both the same in terms of the motor that runs the machine, the same Motorhead (Direct Drive), and battery life, which is 40 minutes.
They both also come included with the Combination tool and Docking Station.
The main difference is that the V8 Animal comes with three more additional tools, including the Mini-Motorised Head (for upholstery and pet fur), Crevice Tool and the Mini Soft-Dusting Brush, for dusting all house-hold surfaces"
ALSO for those looking for the difference between the v7 and v8 this is the answer I got:
"The difference between the V7 and the V8 is the battery life and suction of the product.
The V7 is specified to last for 30 minutes, compared to the 40 minutes the V8 is able to run for.
The V7 also has a suction power of up to 100AW, whilst the V8 has up to 115AW of suction"

You my Kind Sir, have received my First vote and Comment. Have been waiting for a deal on a Cordless vaccum for a while. Was tossing b/w the BigW deal on V7 that comes out tomorrow or this one and chose this because of the reviews online.
Surely the $399 on eBay with free postage from Dyson themselves is better than buying from dodgy Kogan?
