      I thought it was well worth the price.

      But be aware its quite short - took me around 15 hours to be totally done with the game, although I skipped a couple of Heart Pieces.

      That was a plus for me though, since the other games in my switch backlog are mostly 100+ hour behemoths.

      Pretty much any of the Mario games they'll love. My kids (4 and 6) love them on the Wii, so I just ordered Mario Galaxy Odyssey, Mario Party, Mario Kart (came with the Switch deal). Got Zelda for myself =0)

    Best options for a 7 and 9 year old girls? Picked up Mario odyssey and Mario party (as well as both having Mario kart).
    Want them to stop playing crappy tablet games and into something more engaging.
    They already have all the Lego games on pc and Minecraft on tablets (ok, so that isn't a crappy tablet games).

      Only other games that are on the easier side would be Kirby Star Allies or Yoshis Crafted World, I had a lot of fun playing them with my family (who aren't heavy gamers) as both the games have couch co-op mode which we all really enjoyed, but both of the games are short being only 5-8 hours long if you don't collect anything.

    Personal quick review for these games:

    Bayonetta 2 - fun hack and slash game. If you enjoyed Nier Automata for its gameplay, would recommend. Visually amazing and very slick

    Kirby Star Allies - it's alright as a Kirby game, very simple, not bad, not great

    Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - highly recommend as a multiplayer game when you have friends over and great for kids

    Mario Tennis Aces - single player was okay. Would not recommend as a multiplayer game. Online is dead, as a couch multiplayer, it fails to be fun for casuals and non-casuals. Lacks options to select number of games/set. It's locked to first to 3 games iirc.

    Super Mario Odyssey - super highly recommend as a single player if you are into 3D platformer. You can feel the Nintendo magic in this game where they gave everything they have kind of feel.

    Super Mario Party - it's okay, what you would expect from Mario Party but not great.

    Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - has Nintendo magic. All characters are back, had story mode great for multiplayer with friends, always a huge hit on my switch with guests.

    The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild - must have, amazing open world, loads of fun and ruined open world games for me because of how great it is. Some people are not a fan of items breaking, I love it because everything has a purpose.

    The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening - Great for that 2D Legend of Zelda itch. Slight frame drop issues, but still a great game.

    TL;dr must haves are: Breath of the wild, Super Mario odyssey, smash ultimate

      Was looking for new Switch games to purchase, on the fence with Luigi's Mansion, Astral Chain and Links Awakening.

      Hard decision because Switch games hardly go on sale and not much selections, whereas PS4 games I bought 5 games just this morning from Amazon.

        Luigi's mansion is great if you are looking for a short-ish game. It's around 15-20 hours. Visually great, I like the simple puzzle solving aspects, the humour and luigi's scared face. Not a game I would smash out in a day or two but it's very fun to play in 1 hour burst (approximately a singular floor). I can see gameplay being repetitive if you play a few hours straight.

        No comment on Astral Chain as I skipped this one due to backlog. Link's Awakening is the GBA game with updated graphics. It's a short game as well, around 15-20 hours, lots of backtracking due to it being designed for a GBA which I don't mind. It's sort of like metroidvania but top down where you cannot access certain areas until you have certain items. I hope that helps.

        But BotW, Odyssey and Smash Ultimates are personally my top 3 must have for a switch

      Kirby Star Allies is great if you got little kids. Only 1P dies from memory, so 2P/3P/4P can run around being stupid with to no real disadvantage. There is some cooperation involved though, so you there is a limit.

        True, I forgot to think about it from kid's perspective, would recommend because they can pop in and out of the game. It's a simple game so I don't think teens and above would enjoy that much.
