      Nope. You get a code which you can redeem/activate when you want it to start.

          I believe you'll loose any excess storage, but not the files in it until you resub, but not sure how long they'll allow the excess for, but it will be some time, not right away

      Think I just found the answer myself… it converts the remaining days on the current plan to whatever the new plan is. nice.

      Current subscription: You have 6 months left on your Office 365 Personal subscription.

      New subscription: You buy a 12-month subscription to Office 365 Home using the same Microsoft account as your Office 365 Personal subscription.

      Result: Your subscription is converted to Office 365 Home and will renew in 18 months, not 12.

    This is a good deal. Sometimes they have the cheaper options but for 6 users this is as cheap as it gets…without illegally downloading.

      Well, Office 365 can't be had illegally, because it's a subscription service, I assume you are comparing it to the old method, which is to buy Office perpetual, but that doesn't come with OneDrive 1TB (per user x 6) and monthly Skype minutes.
      Of course, you could share an email (profile) with someone, but then you'd still miss out on the OneDrive 1TB per user as you wouldn't want to be sharing a OneDrive account with someone else unless you like sharing all your photos and files with others.

      Always check the estimated delivery on the listing. There is no exception even if it is digital delivery. It currently says:

      Between Wed. 04 Dec. and Thu. 05 Dec

    I’m on this now as a $129 subscription per year from Microsoft.
    2 questions:

    I can buy this, or multiple of these, and redeem them online to save $40 per year instead of paying my subscription?
    What are the steps? Buy 5, enter all the codes, leave the subscription running and it will use the codes before charging me again?

    Side question, 1TB per user, can it be consolidated into 1 user? It seems like each user can only see 1TB.
    I ask because I want to use 3TB for NAS / photo backup.

      If you try to add too many subscriptions at once to the same account, you’ll get a Redemption Failed error because you can’t exceed the 5-year maximum.

      As long as you create 5 extra accounts and then link them to the subscription then you can use 6TB of storage but it can't be consolidated under one account.

    Just got emailed, should be getting them sent digitally late next week….
