Beats Samsung RU7100 in display quality, any day of the week easily, in my opinion (Feel free to check it in store and other reviews/posts on Ozbargain). Few dollars more than the lowest, I have ever seen.

After living with a 55c2us for a couple of years I don't think I can buy another TCL TV. The amount of small things that go wrong with software/wifi that aren't big enough problems to be bothered fighting for a refund make me think I'd prefer to sacrifice image quality and get the Samsung even if there is any noticeable difference.
Biggest issues involve the tv randomly returning to shop mode despite disabling it in the hidden settings. Seems to have been fixed by manually upgrading to the newer version of Android. Continuing problems involve TV randomly deciding it wants to do the looong boot despite having it set to quick power on.
Not sure this all applies to all TCL Android TVs but seems to be fairly common.

Terrible Tv
Bought one two months ago (this very model - p8m). Takes about 3 minutes to boot up.
Crashes randomly and requires a reboot the to get into Netflix. Chromecast won't work most days so I use an external Chromecast now. Not a fan. Hope I can get store credit from Good Guys.Pretty strange, I have the same TV from May this year. Never had a crash ever, boot time is around a minute max, in power save mode - it starts up immediately, Netflix works great, love the Netflix button and had absolutely no issues with Chromecast, have been casting my phones and connects at the first go. Looks like we might be using different OS. Please do contact TCL and post a bad review on ProductReview website, they will surely contact you.

Good guys have agreed to refund. Great outcome. Will never buy TCL again. Good Guys were really good.
Be aware the software on this TCL does not support the built in Chromecast on the Disney app.
