Room-filling sound
Producing 70 watts of balanced sound, Edifier’s R1850DB are a stand out in both categories of style and sound. Its 4.5-inch midrange/woofer speaker drivers create rich lows. Meanwhile, the treble units produce clear highs. They are equipped with both Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Dynamic Range Control (DRC) help limit and reduce distortion even at higher volumes. The built-in class D amplifier powers the speakers and eliminates the need for receivers or external amplifiers filling your desired room with sound.

Them feels when you bought R1700s for $140 couple weeks ago..

    Great Price!

  • Any deals on the r2000?

  • Brought this morning after I missed out on the R1280DB. Took too long to buy gift cards.

  • +1

Missed out on that $80 deal for the other edifiers so ended up buying these instead, not eligible for the $15 off code though :(

  • Thanks Op - picked up a pair, got the $15 off too ^_^

  • jumped on the R1280DB too quick without check $15 off which comes often.

  • I just moved house, have edifier bluetooth speakers like these but want them to play cds? Does anyone know the cheapest way that will allow this to happen? Perhaps plugging in a discman would work?

    • +1

Yeah any standalone CD player you can find on like marketplace will do or a disc man

      • nice thanks for that. am i linking it with the aux or something?

        • +2

It comes with a 3.5mm to AUX (2 RCA) cable.

  • Out of stock, damn I missed out on all of the deals at checkout

  • Damn so upsetting was in my cart, will anyone price match?

  • can i put on my tv stand

  • Order cancelled
Ordered about 1:11 then did latitude pay which finished at 1:15, processing email from catch at 1:53

    • Sorry to hear that. Perhaps that's why it's called "catch" - they catch you out.

  • What is going on? I bought the R1700BTs. Cancelled. Buy these, Cancelled. Not a good look.

  • +1

I bought these, even got a confirmation email, but just received a refund, looks like I missed out to.

  • +6

Just had my purchase cancelled & refunded. No reason or apology given.

  • Damn it… was out and planned to order once I was back in. Any chance this comes back in store, anybody from Catch here?

  • +1

same here, got conf email but received a refund without explanation, BS.

  • Anychance cybermonday will provide deals like this

  • +3

    Order cancelled :/
Still in stock on edifier website….

  • I am still yet to open my R1700BT which I got from the last eBay deal, in the hopes I can pick up one of these and return the former. Hopefully cyber Monday provides the goods fingers crossed!

  • +3

Catch email saying it has been cancelled by Edifier's online store, but their online store shows stock

  • for this price is it BOSE small Bluetooth much better?

  • and they cancelled my order. Thanks Catch…

  • Order confirmed at 1:12pm. Order cancelled at 3:15pm 😔

  • Did anyone not have their order cancelled?

  • Anyone know how these would compare to an old set of Edirol MA-15D Micro Monitor Speakers?

  • Ordered 12:48 AEST
Payment received until now, hoping it doesnt get cancelled.

  • Great price for anyone who got one.
Possible price-error though since they rarely go on-sale.
I’m guessing they were meant to be $228.99 instead of $128.99.
At $128 they would be cheaper than R1700BT which is below the R1850DB in Edifier’s line-up.

  • +1

Had mine cancelled as well. I don't think they meant to have it at $228.99 either, because the official store is selling it for $200. Or is that just how Catch rolls? Charge more than the official store and call it a catch?

    • Glad you figure it out - Catch is "Catch people who bought of the day"

    • Usually buying from another store (Amazon AU / Catch) rather than Edifier AU directly means higher price since the store needs to recuperate costs & make a profit.
Amazon being the giant that they are can afford to give lower-prices once in awhile, Catch on the other hand.

  • Did one of these get shipped?

I didn't buy them. Just wanting to know so I don't feel as bad for missing out, haha.

I thought the deal was too good to be true

    • Since the $128.99 R1850DB price is below the pricing of R1700BT I would bet it is close to / or below stock price.
Therefore it was likely a mistake (accidental or deliberate to attract traffic to Catch).

      • Yeah pricing mistake somewhere in the pipeline, following is response when asked:

"We are really sorry to let you know that we could not accept your orders because the price offered to you did not comply with that we provided to Catch."

        • +1

It’s a shame since it was believable for Black Friday.
In the U.S. Black Friday means deals with 50% off, in Australia (possibly due to weak AU dollar) seems like the best deals are only 30% off.
