  • I prefer Casey's Contraptions so far, but the price is good.
By the way, the app is universal (works on iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch)

      The universe is not Apple.

    Dam… it's > 20MB :(

    • +2

      are you on dialup lol

      • +1

        no… 3G and can't download anything > 20MB…

        • +3

Well it's a good thing you have an iPhone, otherwise you wouldn't have one!

        • Just for others reading this… the iPhone doesn't allow downloads of over 20MB using 3G. I assume this is to reduce network congestion and to keep data usage costs down. To get larger apps, you need to grab using the App Store on the PC/Mac, or use the iPhone when connected to a WiFi network.

        • @llama
that's silly, thanks for letting me know =P

actually…what if you had a pocket wifi or other device that could be used as wifi hotspot and then you connected your iphone to it via wifi.
would that take away the limitation? just out of curiousity…not planning to or anything

        • would that take away the limitation?

yes… app store on iphone would then see the Wifi connection and allow the download…

        • What a pain. Didn't know that iphone can't do that.

  • Thanks.

  • I loved this game back in the old days, been pondering buying it, but despite having $100 of itunes credit in unused gift cards im still surprisingly tight with iPhone apps (esp games with in app purchases as well).

    Excellent!

Just last week I downloaded the entire set of original games - originally for DOS, and later for Win95/98

    1 - The Incredible Machine (1993) - 1.11MB
    2 - The Even More Incredible Machine (1993) - 3.07MB
    3 - The Incredible Toon Machine (1993) - 3.99MB
    4 - The Incredible Machine 3 (1995) - 62.50MB
    5 - Return of The Incredible Machine - Contraptions (2000) - 72.46MB
    6 - The Incredible Machine - Even More Contraptions (2001) - 289.73MB

They are available "about the place" (Google)

    BIG PLUS VOTE!

Finally a quality app for free that's actually a real bargain…. good post OP.
As I've said before, high rated/reviewed apps that a now free definitely deserve to be posted as a bargain. It's just of late there has been some 'free' apps posted as bargains that SHOULD be free all the time due to poor quality.

    Wish I could vote twice.

  • NICE POST! THX!

  • nice, brings back memories! I remembered back in primary school back in the good ol days playing this on 486's with DOS operating system lol!
