3980

Hi all. A nice little bonus for all OzBargainer's on Black Friday. Promo is not advertised anywhere else. Ensure you activate the offer on the landing page before shopping, then head to any* store on Cashrewards, except Woolworths Gift Cards. Please familiarise yourself with the terms below, as they will answer most queries. Ends 11:59PM AEDT. Enjoy :)

Increased Cashback at 100+ stores.

$2 Bonus Terms:

  • To be eligible for the AUD $2 bonus, you must first activate the promotion on the activation page, then shop as normal via any store on Cashrewards, excluding Wooloworths Gift Cards.
  • Transaction must be made between 5:00pm AEDT 29/11/19 and 11:59pm AEDT 29/11/19.
  • $2 bonus is eligible when making a purchase of AUD $5 or more (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping).
  • $2 bonus will not track automatically to your Cashrewards account. It will be credited separately as approved by 08/02/2020.
  • $2 bonus is over and above the store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  • Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  • Transaction is also valid if made in-store at participating stores via a linked Visa / Mastercard. Stores and locations here.
  • Sales may report to Cashrewards ex GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $5. You will still be eligible for the bonus.
  • $2 bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account (separate purchases from different stores don’t qualify for additional bonuses).
  • $2 bonus is ineligible if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected, or if you purchase an ineligible product (standard store cashback terms and exclusions apply).
  • Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

What a great deal. Still can’t match competitors $5. Oh but wait this applies to anything. Shame the competitors attitude can’t be matched.

    • +2

or buy items on both websites and take home both wins!

      • which is what i am doing. actually times 2 as I have mrs account on both too

      • -1

        Just the local CR troll.

  • Will there be any cashback increase for Aliexpress?

  • We need Amazon site wide 20% lol

    • I'll take any increase tonight…

  • How does it work if you use aliexpress in USD? If the AUD equivalent is >$5, that's fine?

  • Oh come on, just spend at ebay and amazon

  • How it will work out with targeted $15 cashback with $30 spend which was extended till 30th Nov?

    • +2

I got that deal too and thought I would give CR another chance (I was having issues with CR tracking so started shopping only using SB, hence why CR targeted me with such a good offer) and no surprise but my transaction using the CR app hasn’t tracked from 7 days ago! Stick to SB!!

      • Meanwhile I track all the time without a notifier. Both sites track exactly the same anyway.

    • Did you find out

  • +1

@TA Is Subscribe and Save on Amazon eligible?

I had a transaction track but I'm not sure it will pay out, for reference it is ineligible at Shopback.

    • This question is always ignored By TA. I don't know why?

      • It might have something to do with the fact he has more things to do than read every ozbargain comment and keep screenshots so he can then read all the comments added after the first lot of comments he read. Could also be because no-one asked him directly. i.e. He's answered every question I've ever PM'd him, even the ones I later realised were glaringly obvious. The real question is, why don't people that WHINE like this - do the same - is he really that scary!?

        • I understand what you are referring to re serious whingers. But this particular question does come up frequently and would be good to include whether eligible or not in the T&Cs to avoid it being asked each time.

          Cheers

          • @cute as duck: Ah, ok - my apologies. I thought it was one of the 'I'm a baby bird, why aren't you feeding me or I'll destroy your reputation' comments I've been seeing more of lately. e.g. daitro over here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/497933

          • +2

@cute as duck: Hi eyzonme. Although I certainly try my best, it's very difficult to read and respond to every question here 24/7, but please know I reached out to Amazon a while ago and avoided responding until I had clear direction. Please note the terms have been updated. Thank you for your patience.

Gift Cards, Vouchers, Charity, Non-Profit items, Subscribe & Save purchases, and Amazon Prime memberships are ineligible for Cashback.

    • +1

From my previous conversations with TA they are not eligible for Cashback, reason it is not in the terms yet is that official wording of how it is to be phrased hasnt been provided by Amazon or something along those lines.

  • Can you add Lancome and the clickpink code, please?

  • Got Owlboy on PS4. Really running out of cheap crap to buy

    • +2

      Buy a couple of these

      • how do i activate?

        • +1

Click on the link in main post

    • Why do you buy crap?

  • Hmmm..
I've just bought from Chemist Warehouse and eBay using Shopback.
I'm not sure of anything else I would need or even want.
Still will keep an eye out I guess. Thanks OP!

  • Found it!

  • Thanks, TA 👍

  • Has anyone compared prices when using Cash Rewards vs the regular site? I was just shopping at Dan Murphys for Hendrix's and it was $63.90 via Cash Rewards and $49.90 through Dan Murphys directly. Is this just a glitch?

    • +1

Nothing to do with CR. Has to do with the Dan Murphy’s location you’re buying from. Go direct and check the prices. Perth selling them at $49.95, Adelaide/Melbourne $63.90 etc. Change stores and you’ll see I’m correct :)

      • My store and pickup location are both set to a WA store. Is there a configuration option in cash rewards to change the location?

Have checked and prices seem slightly higher for other retailers too?

  • How long before cashrewards detects the usage?

The previous $10 and $2 offer still havent tracked after a few days and I have received the products.

    • Please read the terms in bold. Thanks.

  • +1

Knew I should check OzB before I bought rubbish from AliExpress worth about $6.
    Thanks TA!

  • Bought something this morning already… but as a true OB'er, had to buy more LOL! Bought some conditioner for $5.24… noice!

  • +2

Would of been nice had this happened earlier in the day..Already bought stuff using Cashrewards. Oh well..

  • Will it get tracked if I buy stuffs using Amazon mobile app?

    • It states in the post what methods are valid…

  • +3

Will this work when using a code on eBay?

  • +1

Thanks OP bought some Tim tams lol

  • -1

    Geez so much whinging!
Cheers OP, bought something off Amazon that's already cheap, so even if the $2 doesn't track (I expect it will as usual) it's no biggy.

  • is $5 eBay gift card eligible for the $2 cashback, TA?

    • +1

No, as per the terms on the CR eBay page:

Cashback is ineligible on items purchased from the following categories: Gift Cards, Vouchers, Coupons, Charity & Non-Profit, Stamps, Tickets, Coins, Money, Gold Bullion, eBay Plus Memberships, eBay Motors, Boats, Cars, Motorbikes, Travel, Services, Real Estate.

  • I'm on a desktop browser but the CR ebay link is crossed out and says "This store is available only via a desktop browser" . Tried a few different browsers.

  • Not worth it… if you conduct purchases via Virgin eStore, for example, you attract Velocity points - worth much more than $2.
