  This is a good deal but I have previously returned this exact model to ASUS for warranty and had one of the worst warranty experiences i've had to date with non-sensical and uninformed staff (one would tell me one thing then i'd receive completely contradictory information the next time or even directly after by email). The process was so painful and lengthy, that I deliberately have avoided ASUS products ever since.

  Ever since I modded my gumtree bought Telstra technicolor and looked more into the OpenWrt/LEDE in general, i'm so biased against these expensive retail offerings, but I wouldn't recommend this to everyone because the process can be a bit technical for the novice.

  I coudlnt get a decent stable wifi signal in my house for the past 3 years. Used 2 different types of modems. Bought this and just using it as a wifi hotstop. Signal is stupid strong and stable, even outside. So if you have bad wifi this is the one to get. Brilliant device.

  Range sucks on this router, cannot even make it from the front of the house to back. Only talking 20m max.

    If it doesn't do the job in your place, get some Ubiquiti gear. That stuff blasts signals through walls with ease.
